Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
This course is designed to provide efficient and effective firearm training to
criminal justice personnel desiring to become firearms instructors. The
material presented is used to teach in basic recruit academies. Students are
required to provide the following: duty weapon, gun belt, flashlight, ear
and eye protection, other suitable outdoor apparel, department shotgun and
rifle. Further, students are to provide 400 rounds of duty ammunition, 20
rounds of buckshot/ 12 gauge ammunition and 20 rounds of .223 rifle
ammunition.

To register for this course, agency training officers should notify the CJI
prior to the beginning of the program with the names of the officers who
will be authorized to attend. If an officer who is registered cannot
attend, please notify CJI prior to the start of the course.
Casual clothing is recommended. Shorts, tank tops, and/or offensive Tshirts are not acceptable attire.
