2015 Submission Form
Entries Must Be Postmarked by April 17, 2015
*Authors 17 years of age and younger
Criteria for
“Short on Words”
• Entries must speak to one (1) of the
four (4) featured photos for this
year’s competition.
• Entries can be a poem or short story maximum length is 1,500 words.
• Each entry must have a title, be typed,
double-spaced, single-sided. Pages must be
numbered - no other identifying marks may
appear. Entries will not be returned.
• A cover page must be included and must list
the title of the submission, the name of the
author, the photo that inspires the piece, an
e-mail address and contact phone number.

There are four (4) featured photographs
for the fourth annual competition. All
photos appear in this brochure. They are
each numbered and titled for reference.
Entries must speak to one of the photos.
The photographs were taken by
Dr. William Demray. Photos are also available for
viewing at Preservation Dental - the office of Dr.
William Demray, at the Northville Art House and
at preservationdental.com.

Awards
• The cash award for 1st Place is $100;
2nd Place is $50; 3rd Place is $25.
• There will be additional prizes awarded at the
discretion of the judges.
• Readings and an author reception will be held
at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Genitti’s
Hole-in-the-Wall in downtown Northville.
