HIGH SCHOOL BAND ROOM ALL PARENTS ARE TO ATTEND.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!! Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory! Students may be excused from mini-camp rehearsals with prior approval from band director.
Students will not be excused from BAND CAMP rehearsals or performances. Other absences will be approved/disapproved by the band director on a case-by-case basis. Please
make sure you fill out the ONLINE REHEARSAL EXCUSE FORM and submit it two weeks prior to the date in question. You are permitted two excused absences per season.
Performances do not count. Students must present doctor’s excuses upon returning to band. All Drum Line and Auxiliary are granted an extra two excused absences for
their summer rehearsals. These do not count once main band camp starts. ALL FORMS ONLINE AT PRIDE.LHBANDS.ORG
* PIONEER DAYS PARADE always falls on a SAT test date. Band Students must schedule the SAT at an earlier or later date. No exceptions! This is a mandatory performance.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO MARCHING BAND MEMBERS: Students who are instrumentalists in the marching band are required to take at least one band class for the entire school
year. You may choose from the symphonic band, percussion ensemble or jazz ensemble. Students not able to schedule band 5 days/week may be scheduled for 3 days only if schedule
does not permit the full week class. Schedules will be reviewed before partial credit classes are assigned. Any questions please see Mr. Santore
ATTENTION PERCUSSION STUDENTS: You must schedule MUS822 Percussion Ensemble. MUS821 Symphonic Band is for wind players only. Students whose principal
instrument is not percussion may enroll in Percussion Ensemble in addition to Symphonic Band if they have an open elective in their schedule.
ATTENTION WIND PLAYERS: You must schedule MUS821 Symphonic Band if you are wind player (brass and woodwinds).
