Account Manager, Foundations, Strategic Partnerships
The Account Manager, Foundations, Strategic Partnerships will be a key player and a crucial member of
successful growing team. Foundations are now a small part of our funding mix, and as we prepare to grow
foundation support, we seek someone who likes challenges and values work that makes an impact on
women’s lives. The Account Manager will work primarily to conduct foundation prospect research and begin
foundation relations. The role will also apply to prizes and awards. As a member of the Development
Department, the Account Manager will be part of a growing team across all areas of fundraising and
communications. Key responsibilities will include prospecting, foundation relationship-building, writing,
managing information and materials, and performing administrative tasks.

Identify and research foundation prospects and prepare foundation profiles.
Help lead and develop a pipeline of foundation prospects and prepare all relevant fundraising
materials.
Seek opportunities to apply to prizes and awards relevant to Pro Mujer’s mission and
achievements.
Initiate inquiries, set up meetings, and build relationships with foundations.
Maintain calendar of report and proposal submissions, and ensure that all submissions are made
on time.
Work with the Senior Director and Officer, Strategic Partnerships, to write and assemble funding
from requests foundations in the US, UK and Latin America.
Develop letters of intent, grant proposals, updates, presentations, and reports to foundations.
Draft, coordinate and support Pro Mujer communications to ensure foundations are regularly
updated on Pro Mujer's work, objectives, challenges and achievements.
Steward foundation relationships through field visits, reports and regular telephone contact,
invitations to events, etc.
Collaborate with the Finance and Operations Departments, as well as country program staff, to
gather ideas and information for grant applications, proposal budgets and reporting, and grant
management.

Translate from Spanish to English reports and/or data needed to produce proposals and reports.
Input relationship information into salesforce; keep excellent digital files.
Assist Senior Director and Officer, Strategic Partnerships by serving as liaison, attending meetings,
and working with organization leadership and staff to facilitate processing and implementation of
grants.
Manage special projects, as requested.
Manage interns.

Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience with professional writing preferred.
Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written, required.
Must be self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented, and capable of working comfortably with a
variety of staff at all positions within the organization.
Excellent writing, organizational, budgeting, planning, research, and computer skills required.
Knowledge of financial inclusion, women’s equity, or public health preferred.
Knowledge of MS Office required and fundraising databases, especially Salesforce, desirable.
Flexible and open to new approaches and/or changes in priorities.
Outstanding team contributor and collaborator in a multi-cultural environment.
A passion and commitment to improve the quality of life of women from impoverished
communities in Latin America.
