Multi-storey and underground car parks are exposed
to unusually high and diverse stresses. This applies
in particular to stresses on the reinforced concrete
structure.
Without sufficient protection, thermal, chemical
and mechanical stresses can lead to considerable
structural damage. Vehicles carry water and de-icing
salt into the car park. Exhaust gasses also increase
the CO2 burden.
Vehicle traffic on the concrete decks generates
vibrations that may cause the formation of fine
cracks in the structure. This makes it easy for harmful
substances to penetrate and cause substantial
damage to the concrete and the steel reinforcement.

Our unique PUMA TECHNOLOGY combines the properties of
polyurethane (PUR) and methyl methacrylates (MMAs).
Extreme weather immunity
High tolerance to humidity during application.

from -10°C to + 35°C.

A variety of membrane and
coating systems offer a
selection of potential solutions.
A large number of visual design options can also
be implemented. Colour coding of different parking
levels, markings for pedestrians and parking bays,
colour differentiation of pedestrian paths, etc. can
clarify designated usage and increase safety.
Bright decorative colours also enhance the sense of
well-being of car park users.

COATINGS AND MEMBRANES FOR
INTERMEDIATE DECKS
In the case of intermediate decks, it is necessary to
prevent water and chloride penetration into the structure.
Depending on the type of construction, a relatively rigid
coating may be sufficient or additional crack bridging may
be necessary.
Systems with or without a supplementary membrane
layer, depending on requirements, are available.
The membrane layer can be formed with or without
a nonwoven fabric inlay depending on operating
circumstances.
Our MATACRYL® OS 8 Parking Deck System, which is
tested in accordance with DIN EN 1504-2, is suitable as a
rigid coating for intermediate decks.

SPECIFIC SOLUTIONS
FOR ALL REQUIREMENTS
COATINGS FOR RAMPS
Ramp coatings can be installed using either rigid systems
or flexible membrane systems.
In the case of ramp renovation, the ramps must be
blocked off which typically results in a high loss of use.
These closure times are greatly reduced with the MMA
and PUMA systems.
Depending on the size and the site conditions, ramps can
be renovated in just one day and re-opened to traffic just
two hours after completion.
TOP DECKS
External decks and other parking surfaces exposed to the
weather need solutions with specific technical properties.
In particular, water and chloride penetration into the
concrete of exposed decks must be prevented by suitable
coating systems.
Crack bridging, UV-resistance, total impermeability to
water and resistance to freeze/thaw cycles must also be
assured on a longterm basis.
Our unique PUMA Technology perfectly fulfils all of these
requirements. All systems also feature rapid curing.
