Nomination Committee for Dean of the College of Textiles

As you are aware, I suspended a search for Dean of the College of Textiles in May 2014 and named
David Hinks as Interim Dean. I am very pleased to announce that a new open search for the Dean of the
College of Textiles is now underway. The Nomination Committee will be chaired by Dean Ira Weiss,
Poole College of Management. Members of the committee are:

Latoya Giles, Staff Senate Representative
F. Dale Hayes, Campaign Committee Chair, NC Textile Foundation Board of Directors
Cynthia Istook, Professor, Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management
Jeff Joines, Associate Professor, Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science
J. Barry Leonard, President, NC Textile Foundation Board of Directors
Jennifer Leary, Graduate Student, Textile Technology Management
Leah Mahr, Undergraduate Student, Textile Technology Management
Lori Rothenberg, Zeis Textile Extension
Renzo Shamey, Professor, Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science
Susan Ward, NC State Board of Trustees
Andre West, Assistant Professor, Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management
An executive search firm, currently in the process of being selected, and Executive Search Services in
NC State’s Human Resources Division will be assisting the committee. Katie Perry and Kelly Wick will be
my office liaisons for this search.
