DC 315 MSDS
DC 315 applied over Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF), is an Alternative Barrier
System in “Section 2603.9 Special Approval” as a thermal barrier. To use this
alternative system, a manufacturer’s SPF applied with a protective coating must
be tested to the criteria of an NFPA 286, UL 1715, UL 1040, or FM 4880 for the
duration of 15 minutes by an accredited fire testing facility. Products that pass
an ignition barrier tested under AC 377 Appendix X are not appropriate
alternative thermal barriers and cannot not be used. Depending on your
particular application, either ignition or thermal barriers are required by the
International Building Code (IBC).
DC 315 is the most tested and approved product in the world for use as an
“Alternative Barrier Coating System" on (SPF). DC 315 has passed over 100 full
scale NFPA 286 tests on the majority of foam brands manufactured in the U.S.A.
A material safety data sheet, safety data sheet, or product safety data sheet is an important component of
product stewardship and occupational safety and health.

Food contact - NSF/ANSI 51(2009) Food Equipment, Materials-Formulation Review and Extraction Testing
Food contact materials are intended or have the potential to come in contact with food. When these
materials come in contact with food, there is the possibility of the chemical substances migrating from
the food contact material to the food, which could be potentially harmful to human health. In response
to this issue, many countries have implemented food contact regulations to ensure food safety.
Companies must ensure their products comply with the applicable food contact regulations to keep their
products on the market.
