President’s Rumble:
Hi everyone,
Well, what can I say, great competitive start to QWCHC 2015 Buckle Series weekend.
First of all, thanks to those who helped setting up on Friday arvo. The usual people
and the usual great job, then backing up on Saturday morning, thank you all. The camp
was set-up and the camp draft cut out began. Good competitors and great participation
for our first event of this style of riding. Congratulations to our winners. The juniors
showed great sportsmanship in their category (feedback welcome). Congratulations to
our juniors. Thank you to Casey for judging and to Kallangur Produce for sponsoring
this event.
Sunday – Open team penning is looking extremely competitive for this series as early
in the day times were close, however, these times were knocked down the ladder as
the afternoon went on. All categories look set to be very entertaining as our junior
and beginner riders look to have improved over the break and are set to continue their
ability. Open teams LOOK OUT if some of these guys and girls eventually team up.
Keith and Carol, the herd handling guru’s – Thank You. Thanks Tony for supplying your
cattle and also Doc and Troy for your back up cattle as well.
Thanks to our judge Doc, timekeepers Di and Craig and also our lovely announcer Kim.
Thank you also to Grant and Bernie who were on the gate for the day.
Thank you to Shane Malone of Sureline Fencing for again sponsoring this series.
Novelties on Saturday evening were a big hit – thank you to all those that helped with
this event. A massive Thanks to all competitors for paying your nominations on time!
This made a huge difference to those in the office and balancing the books! Finally,
thank you to our herd settlers, the committee and anyone I have missed – Your help is
GOLD.
