
Notice Peter gives repeated examples (2:2, 10, 14, 18) of these false
teachers who are living in an immoral way.

So while claiming to be Christian they are not living as Christians
should live.

In other words their behavior is not tied to their belief.
Message in Song - Brad Replogle
Main Point
Peter’s emphasis in this book is for believers to grow in grace and
knowledge of God so they can combat the heretical views the false
teachers had introduced into the church.
