Peach Classic Fishing Tournament rules
———————————————————————————————————————
1. The tournament will be conducted by the Rotary Club of Chilton County.
2. Tournament will begin at “safe light” and end at 2 p.m on Saturday, June 20, 2015.
3. All boats must check-in before “blast off” and will be assigned a number. This number will
be used to identify the team throughout the tournament.
4. Boats will be released in the order of which they registered. The earlier you register, the
lower your blast off number. Anglers can register online but must also make payment
online to complete registration. A $4 convenience fee will be charged for online
payments. No refunds will be given for payments made online for pre-registration
unless the tournament is cancelled or rescheduled.
5. All fish brought to the weigh-in will be returned to the water after being weighed.
6. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the boat or around the weigh-in area during the
tournament.
7. The tournament committee reserves the right to disqualify questionable fish (iced,
damaged, etc.).
8. Only largemouth and spotted bass will be weighed, with a 12-inch minimum length. All
fish must be caught in the mouth. Only live fish will be weighed.
9. First weigh-in will be at 8 a.m., with subsequent weigh-ins every two hours thereafter
until the final weigh-in at 2 p.m. All weigh-ins will be held at Higgins Ferry Park.
10. The angler who produces the “big fish” at each weigh-in will receive a $500 prize. The
overall “big fish” for the tournament will be eligible for an additional $1,000 prize.
11. In the event of a tie, the prize money will be split among the tied anglers.
12. Anglers must check-in to the weigh-in area. Once an angler has checked in, he or she
must weigh- in. After a fish has been weighed, it will become property of the tournament
committee and will be returned to the water by a committee representative.
13. Each angler can weigh in one fish per weigh-in period. You do not have to weigh the fish
in the hour that it is caught. The person catching the fish must be the angler to weigh in.
14. Anyone showing poor sportsmanship is subject to disqualification, at the discretion of
the tournament committee.
15. No trolling, live bait or fishing within 50 yards of another boat or marina (launch).
16. Contestants will wear life jackets and have a “kill switch” (when main motor is so
equipped) attached to a person or driver whenever the main motor is running.
17. All live wells are subject to search by a member of the tournament committee prior to
the start and during the tournament.
18. Contestants will abide by all Alabama water safety standards.
19. The tournament will take place rain or shine. Entry fee is non-refundable.
20. Entry fee is $50 per angler. Three fishermen per boat maximum. Single fishermen are
welcomed.
21. It will be an expressed condition that all prize winners will willingly subject to a
polygraph test at the request of the tournament committee.
22. All participants enter this fishing tournament at their own risk. The Rotary Club of
Chilton County is not responsible for any stolen, lost or damaged property or personal
injuries sustained during the tournament.

committee.
