Summer Activities for Pre -Schoolers
REGISTRATION IS ON-GOING until classes are filled. There is a minimum and maximum for each class.
All participants must be registered members of the RVC Recreation Department for the June 1, 2015 - May 31, 2016 fiscal year.
Residents- $23 Non-residents- $25. Registration for all summer pre-school activities will begin on April 1 at the Recreation Dept.
office located at the John A. Anderson Recreation Center. Complete the registration form on the reverse side and mail to address
above or submit in person with fee. Classes for age 3 and older are without parent or adult accompaniment. NO REFUNDS!
ROLL AROUND FUN-CARD: Buy a RollAround multi-pack and attend RollAround sessions to suit your busy summer
schedule. Fun-Cards are sold in multiples of 5 (5-pack) or 10 (10-pack) classes PER FAMILY, which can be used anytime
RollAround is offered during the summer. RollAround is free-play time in the air-conditioned gymnasium for ages 1-4 and
adult/caregiver. MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS 1:45-3:15pm
FEE: $45 for 5-pack $80 for 10-pack

For safety, there is a limit of 30 children per Roll Around session. Children must be 1 through 4 years-old.
SUMMER DANCE WORKSHOP: For children age 4 (child
must be 4 when class begins).
A fabulous opportunity for new or experienced dance students to enjoy ballet and other dance forms in a friendly
and fun atmosphere. Participants should have ballet shoes and wear athletic clothing.

INTRODUCTION TO GYMNASTICS: An introduction to
Gymnastics apparatus, including tumbling, balance beam, bars and
vault for boys and girls age 4 (child must be 4 when class begins).
Begins June 30 or July 2
Instructor: Lauren Franklin
Age 4: TUESDAY 2:30-3:15pm or THURSDAY. 1:30-2:15pm
FEE: $66 residents/$72 non-res for 6 classes
KINDER- CRAFTS: The pre-school child will explore various
media in an environment geared to encouraging his/her boundless
creativity. TUESDAY 12:30-1:15pm (age 3) or 1:30-2:15pm (age 4)

EXPLORING THE ARTS: An adventure in dance, music, and art
that will foster individual creativity.

TUMBLE ONES - TWOS and TUMBLE THREES:
Introductory movement activity with a gymnastics flair, geared to
the developmental stages of children ages 18-35 months (T1-2) and
36-48 months (T3) Child must be age stated when class begins.
Tumble1-2: TUESDAY 12:30-1:15pm or THURSDAY 12:30-1:15pm
(T1-T2 with adult)
Tumble 3: TUESDAY 1:30-2:15pm or THURSDAY 2:30-3:15pm
(T-3 without adult, child must separate)

WACKY WEDNESDAY PRE-K ENRICHMENT: Kids entering Kindergarten in Sept. 2015 or 2016 can
extend and enrich their summer nursery experience as Mrs. Higgins presents her Wacky Wednesday program
of music, stories and crafts based upon a weekly theme. Children will eat lunch (brought from home) together
before activities begin. Register for the entire 5 weeks or one week at a time. You MUST register at least
one week in advance. WEDNESDAYS 11:30am-1:00pm Meets on July 8, 15, 22, 29 Aug. 5
FEE: $21 per class or $90 for all 5 (must pay for all 5 at time of registration)
COMPUTER TOTS: Offering a 45-minute technology program for children ages 3-5. This program provides uses
educational software and peripherals, working in small groups with an early childhood computer teacher. They
will also create artwork or a craft based on the software they are using during that lesson. Offered Tuesdays

PARENT-TODDLER WORKSHOP: A unique opportunity for parents or caregiver and their 24 – 36
month old child to participate in a relaxed program of art, music, movement and playtime.
FRIDAY 9:00-10:30am or FRIDAY 10:45am-12:15pm Classes begin on July 10
FEE: $92 res./$97 non.res. for 6 sessions

FALL NURSERY SCHOOL – September 2015 – June 2016
There are limited openings in the some of our nursery school classes for the Fall. Inquire at the office for specific availability.
A deposit of $200 will be accepted for the 36 week program. We offer two nursery classes:
Those entering Kindergarten in Sept. 2016:
Five day Mon – thru- Fri. Pre-K morning 9:00am – 11:30am
Those entering Kindergarten in Sept. 2017:
Four day Mon – thru- Thur. Pre-Pre K morning: 9:00am – 11:30am
NEW THIS FALL! TIME FOR TWO’S Nursery Program for Two-Year-Olds!
The Recreation Department is starting a new Nursery School program for children who will be Two-Years-Old
before September 30, 2015. Call the office or check out our website for further information.
SUMMER NURSERY SCHOOL 2015
The Recreation Department offers a fun-filled summer nursery program for children entering Kindergarten in 2015
and 2016. Classes meet five or four days a week from 9:00-11:30am.

SUMMER BIRTHDAY PARTIES: Birthday parties are offered weekdays 4:15-5:45pm and Saturdays 10:00, 12N, 2:00 from
June 29 to August 15 (Center is closed July 3rd weekend). The ROLL AROUND PARTY PACKAGE, a perfect choice for children
ages 2-5, includes one hour use of the Roll Around equipment in the gymnasium JUST FOR FUN PARTIES, for 4-5-6 year-olds,
offer RollAround plus Tumble-Trak and Trampoline. The MAD SCIENCE, LEGO and EDIBLE ART PARTIES are suitable for kids ages
5-12. All are followed by 30 minutes in the festive party room to serve your choice of refreshments. SEE BIRTHDAY PARTY

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a party date. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. We
