Based in Dubai, Lionel is Managing Director of Agents4RM, an
award winning specialist consultancy championing ‘responsible
management’ in facilities services and the built environment. He is
also Chairman of the board of International Workplace Limited.
Lionel is credited as being a pioneer of facilities management and,
according to one leading journal, ‘The Father of FM’. He has
worked extensively on
facilities management projects
internationally and as adviser to many blue chip companies and
institutions. Recent assignments have included work throughout
the Gulf region, New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia and
Eastern Europe as well as the UK.
Lionel has been influential in shaping the development of facilities
management practice internationally. He has served as Chairman
of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) in the UK,
Chairman of the European Facilities Management Network
(EuroFM) in the Netherlands and as a board member of the
International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) in the
USA.
Lionel was honoured with the PFM journal ‘Lifetime Achievement
Award’ in 2013, and received the BIFM ‘Award for Overall Industry
Impact’ in 2011.
He is an experienced facilitator of management events and
workshops and is a regular speaker at international conferences,
in addition to contributing to professional facilities management
journals.
