Quick Guide for SAP Training Delivery
1. PREPARATION
Please make sure that your connection is suitable for carrying out the event on the SAP Training
infrastructure at your training hosting location as follows.
The technical prerequisites for a successful SAP Training Delivery are described in the document SAP
Document for Customer On-Site Training available under the Downloads section of http://access.sap.com
SAP Education strongly recommends that you perform the performance tests from at least two PCs that are
located in the training room where the event is to take place (SAP Training hosting location).
Virtual classroom training students, who are not participating in an onsite classroom event, only need to
perform the test as described in step 2.
2. PERFORMANCE CHECK TOOL
Please follow the guidance below to test the network connection from the training location (hosting location)
before SAP Training event start.
Open https://access.sap.com
Click check performance at the bottom of the screen.

Select your region by clicking the continent (its color will turn to yellow once selected) as shown on the image
above.
Then click Start Test to obtain latency, download-speed, and bandwidth measurement results to and from
the regional SAP data centers. The following color keys indicate your network performance:
Green: Good latency and bandwidth (see image above).
Yellow: Sufficient latency and bandwidth.
Red: Insufficient latency and bandwidth. The network is not suitable for connecting to the SAP
Training infrastructure.
You might want to send your results per e-mail using the Send Results function.
Click Help to obtain a detailed description of the tool, also see image above.
3. TEST CONNECTION TOOL
Please carry out this test for onsite classroom trainings held outside of SAP premises. Virtual classroom
training students, who are not participating in an onsite classroom event, do not need to perform this test.
Note: you need to use credentials to carry out this test.

Connect to your region
Select Training Landscape (WTS/VDI Training)

Type in Username: testconnection
Password: Te5tConnect!on
On the Citrix Home screen run the Test Connection tool.
Please wait for the countdown tool to run for two hours to ensure that your network connection is stable
without disconnection or time-out.
After you have finished your test please make sure to log off from your Citrix Receiver home screen by
clicking the dropdown menu next to your user name on the top of the page (as seen on the image below).
4. ALTERNATIVE TEST DURING THE TEST CONNECTION RUN
Please perform this test for onsite classroom trainings held outside of SAP premises in case you would
encounter issues during the performance tests described in the previous steps. Virtual classroom training
students, who are not participating in an onsite classroom event, do not need to perform this test.
Note: you need to use credentials provided by your SAP Education contact to carry out this test.

Select Training Landscape (WTS/VDI Training)
Type in the credentials provided
On the Citrix Home screen open the Common Training WTS and wait to ensure that your network
connection is stable without disconnection or time-out.
You might want to run this alternative test during the Test Connection run described in the previous
step.
After you have finished your test please make sure to log off in two ways:
From the Citrix Receiver Desktop through the Start menu (see image below), and
from your Citrix Receiver home screen by clicking the dropdown menu next to your user name on
the top of the page (as seen on the image below).

Note: In case of issues related to the network connection, please always contact your hosting location’s IT
administration first and let them analyze the issue.
