Q3. Are there aspects of the current mission statement that are no longer relevant?
Issues with the wording
• The statement is vague
• How do you measure ‘dynamic’?
• Diverse – refers to what? Culture, services?
• Whole thing is too long
• Everything is still relevant
STUDENT DIALOG
TUDENT DIALOG
Thoughts and Observations
• Students were unaware that CCAC is guided by a mission prior to the session
• Students were focused on their experiences and are able to relate the mission …it was more difficult to discuss what was missing or irrelevant
STUDENT DIALOG
Thoughts and Observations
• Students respond to student‐centered staff, faculty, administrators
• Students are concerned that other students aren’t aware of or don’t take advantage of all CCAC has to offer
STUDENT DIALOG
Thoughts and Observations
• Mention employment
• One‐college concept is not consistently applied.
• Formatting of the statement
