Project Excel Summer Enrichment
Project Excel is a summer enrichment program that is designed to enhance reading, mathematical, and
technology skills so that students will be more equipped to excel during the school year. Participants take
part in interactive classes in mathematics, science, computer applications, and/or language arts; attend
cultural field trips that are both educational and fun; experience an opportunity to talk with successful
persons representing many career fields; and gain recognition for academic and social achievements. Excel is
generally held in July on the Purdue University Calumet campus.
Project Excel 2015 Participants
Active Educational Talent Search middle school participants in good academic and behavioral standing that
meet the following criteria will be consider:
At least age 12
Completed at least grade 6th or 7th
Not yet in high school
Minimum of B grade point average
How Can I Become a Project Excel Participant?
Purdue University Calumet Educational Talent Search Project Excel summer applications will be available
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. The deadline to have applications submitted will be June 12, 2015. Selections
and/or confirmations will be completed by June 19, 2015. For applications, contact the main office beginning
May 13, 2015, at (219) 989-2460.
