Any resident of the city of Joliet
may apply for a library card at the
Circulation Desk at either location.
Applicants must present one current
government issued photo ID that
verifies their name, and one printed
form of identification that verifies
their current address. (PO boxes may
not be used.) Children 3 years old and
up may apply for their own library
card, with parental consent and
signature of responsibility.
Publicity Photos
The Library reserves the right to
photograph program participants.
Photos are for library use and may
be used in library publicity materials.
Names of individuals will not be used
in photo captions. Patrons who do
not wish to be photographed should
notify staff.

Free parking is available at the Main
Library (2 hours) in the library lot at
the corner of Clinton and Chicago
Street. There is also deck parking
at 110 N. Ottawa Street and 11 E.
Clinton St. Deck parking is FREE on
Saturdays and Sundays and only $.50
an hour Monday-Friday 6 am-7 pm.

A film art enthusiast and movie poster collector will be
at the Library showcasing his collection of soon to be
released feature films and those now showing. With
posters for all of the genres, Library visitors are invited
to match clues and/or descriptions on a game sheet
with the appropriate movie poster on display. Entries
submitted will be placed in a drawing for a chance to
win a Visa gift card!

You shot 100s of hours of video on your phone,
tablet, or camera. Now what? Edit them into a short
or long video of your vacation, wedding, presentation,
“how-to”, or release your creative side produce a
music video, drama, or comedy. There is no limit to
what you can do. Add narration and music. We will be
using the leading industry standard software, Adobe
Premiere Elements, an affordable software that works
well with Adobe Photoshop. Camera, Action, Edit.

Digital Media Studio
The Digital Media Studio, also known as the DMS, is
now located in their new, bigger space on the Lower
Level of the Main Library. The studio is equipped with
both Macs and PCs for industry-standard image, video,
and audio editing.
The DMS staff is available to assist you with a variety of
multimedia projects. You can design posters, create and
record music or podcasts, build websites, edit photos,
create animations, and much more!
There are two 3D printers that can be used with staff
assistance. DMS users are welcome to come in to design
an object and then observe the 3D printers in action.
There is a $1 setup fee and a charge of 10¢ per 1 gram
of plastic. Most jobs are under $3 to create.
Need a poster? The Digital Media Studio is equipped
with a large format, full color printer for those 24” x 36”
and 18”x 24” print jobs. Prints are ready within 2
business days after receipt and cost $15-$20, depending
on size. Larger sizes are also available at a higher cost.
