ISRAEL FILM AND TV PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION
The Annual International Conference of the Israel Producers Association assembles each year
the core of the Israel Film and Television Industry and brings together our leading home
players with a prestigious foreign team whose practical experience and connections have
long been proven. This team is selected with much attention and care. This year our team
arrives from France as we focus on THE FRENCH CONNECTION.
As a result of the current developments in the Israeli Film and Television Industry, which are
happening as we speak, we must seek additional alternatives for co-productions.
Our guests will discuss process and procedure for local development of television series for
co-production, the encouragement of foreign productions to be filmed in Israel, long range
strategies, work with broadcasters in other territories and more.
I hope that this unique gathering will ripe into actual co-operations, both in Israel and
France, turning into co-productions, as we have managed to do in our corresponding
Film Industry. This will hopefully result in bi-cultural content which can be further distributed
worldwide.
The Annual Conference is an opportunity to consult, to share ideas, to collaborate, to learn,
to connect for the future.

Following strong demand by French and Israeli professionals, the French Embassy, the
French Institute in Israel and the Israel Film and TV Producers Association have joined
forces to set up THE FRENCH CONNECTION, a unique cooperation program in the field of
television industry involving 16 French representatives from major media companies and
diversified Israeli projects to be pitched to them.
Such an event was made possible thanks to the common will of both our countries to invent
new economic models, to foster creativity and to consider one another as a key partner in
the field of television.
Through this program, a great opportunity will be given to scriptwriters, producers,
distributors, sales agents, broadcasters and TV commissioners to meet and create new
bonds which will eventually strengthen our two television industries, both individually and
collectively, on the international scene. Moreover, beyond its obvious economic impact, producing television dramas together and
exporting them will have the crucial effect of helping to promote the preservation of
cultural diversity.
May these professional encounters be fruitful and lead to new French-Israeli collaborations.

The Second Authority for Television and Radio is pleased to welcome the participants of the

an important driving force and a generator of the original Israeli content creations.
Professional producers from around the world have arrived to Israel in order to attend this
important conference and share with us their productions. Producers are working tirelessly
under difficult conditions while thriving to fulfill their dreams, and to express their ideas
and diverse voices of society. The Second Authority for Television and Radio policy in recent
years insisted on the fulfillment of all regulatory obligations on the matter of quotas of
local production of Elite genre annually, as well as, yet to be fulfilled obligations of past
years. The Second Authority strongly supports Israel's content production and producers
that create vibrant, quality and exciting content to be screened in Israel and Internationally.
The Second Authority undertook upon itself to support each year dozens of documentaries
and student films, by a cumulative investment of tens of millions of dollars. The Authority
broadcasts these productions in two television channels – channel 2 and channel 10. In
addition, the Authority promotes artists and encourages them to bring to the Israeli screen
an original and a unique Israeli social and cultural experience. The Authority's productions are
an important quality content present on the screen. We congratulate the organizers of this

TF1 Production covers the TF1 Group’s internal production activities. The subsidiary is
made up of a number of specialist departments, each headed by experienced producers. The
Entertainment, Game Shows and Reality TV Department is responsible for numerous shows
including DANCING WITH THE STARS, THE BACHELOR, SPLASH, BABES ON THE BUS
and more. The Magazines and Factual Department produces magazine programs (50MN
INSIDE, 90’ ENQUÊTES, etc.), the Drama Department develops and produces dramas (as
RIS and Intervention), shortcoms and scripted reality (PETITS SECRETS ENTRE VOISINS),
the International Co-productions department coproduces English language series with
European partners (Crossing Lines), the Sports Department produces sporting events,
such as Automoto and Téléfoot; the Short Format Department manages the production of
all the trailers for the TF1 channel, designs and shoots adverts, and oversees promotional
operations, billboards and short programs (DU CÔTÉ DE CHEZ VOUS). The subsidiary also
implements production processes that meet the quality requirements of Group channels
while optimizing costs. Equipped with an international formats monitoring, acquisitions and
development unit, the company supports creation by acquiring international formats for the

SPECT (Syndicate of Producers and Creators of Television)
SPECT (founded in 2004) is a union of independent French Television producers and creators
specializing, amongst other things, in entertainment (game shows, light entertainment,
magazine programs, reportage, live broadcasts). It aims to protect the interests and
particularities of this unknown sector; establish a dialogue with the regulatory authorities
and the different partners in the profession (in particular French broadcasters); contribute
actively to the development of broadcasting in France. Thanks to the diversity of program
types within SPECT, the organization can rightly claim to be representative of the profession
as a whole in the larger field of broadcasting, beyond its economic importance (yearly
turnover of 1.3 billion Euros, +/- 50,000 jobs). It reflects the creativity of its members and
its economic power. Today, 45 companies with over 150 subsidiaries of all sizes are members
of SPECT, making it a key player in French broadcasting. In 2010, SPECT, in partnership
with USPA (fiction, documentaries and live broadcasts) and SPFA (youth programs), founded
the Confederation of Broadcasting Producers. The eleven members of the Board reflect the
diversity of its representation. Jacques Clement (Act4 Productions) has been President

The facebook profile of their friend, forces his
old 'gang', who fell apart due to the traumatic
event, to search for each other and for the
truth about his death, in order to undo its
consequence on their present life.
Each episode, one of them embarks on a
double journey: in the present, during three
consecutive days shown through different
points of view in the past and in the night
their friend died. The long-forgotten-friends
are thrown towards one another in search
of answers and the influence of each of their
lives is completely different, and so are the
conflicts of each episode.

After the performance the hosts consult
and decide IN or OUT. 5 talented people
are chosen from the building and they
have three days to prepare for a show on
a stage in the street in front of the whole
neighborhood. We follow them turning from
living room talents to stage performers
while they prepare. And then on a small
stage in the middle of the neighborhood the
performance takes place and it’s a happy
fun street party. The neighbor’s vote and
select the winner of the prize and the hall of
fame in his neighborhood. This time on the
sidewalk next to your house you will have to
show your neighbors that you got it!
