SPRING SPORTS
Senior Erica English was named player of the week in
the Elyria Chronicle. In 5 games she batted .733 (11-15),
13 R, 7 RBI, 4 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR. She is going to further her
career at Wheeling Jesuit next year.

EAGLE HONORS
SOFTBALL
Congratulations to varsity baseball player Jake
Servidio for being selected the JJ Huddle Ohio High
School player of the Week.
The varsity girls have been playing good softball all season
long. The lady Eagles have been led by seniors Erica
English, Hayley Bukala, Alexis Smith, Kylie Hicks, Julia
Negray, and Tori Butler. The Eagles had impressive victories
over the past week against Olmsted Falls, Avon Lake, and
Buckeye.
Great job - tennis athlete Tyler Roll for a great week of
tennis and being selected athlete of the week.
Good luck Eagles at your senior game!

Good News
JV Softball
The Eagle football team visited Logan Massey at Pine
and helped celebrate his return to school. Great job
Coach Brediger and the Eagle football team for being a
part of a child’s life and giving back to our community.
The JV softball team had an impressive 13-5 victory over
the Buckeye Bucks. The team was led by the outstanding
pitching from Mary Furest. Good luck JV Eagles as they
begin SWC tournament play.
BASEBALL
Varsity Baseball
The varsity baseball team has had great production at the
plate all year by Brad Novak, Joey Keleman, Jake Servidio,
Scott Cooney, and Matt Starcovic. The Eagles defensively
have had outstanding games from Sam Kessler, Brandon
Fatsie, Matt McKenzie, Ian Forster, and Tommy Sullivan.
The Eagle pitching staff has been led all year by Zach
Gillard, Jacob Servidio, Tommy Sullivan, Dan Krull, and
Cal Smith.
Good luck next week in your OHSAA game vs Elyria.

The SWC Track and Field Championships are next
week at Baldwin Wallace College on Wednesday

Eagles win first SWC meet of the year
against Amherst.
Avon Relays: Eagles finished 7th out of 13 teams.
Stand out plaers ver the past few weeks include Ryan
Kistemaker, Seamus Kean, Brandon Maximovich, Dave
Reich, and Victor Cristiano.

Varsity Tennis
Boys’ varsity has won 4 straight matches over the past
2 weeks. Senior Tyler Roll has won 4 straight matches.
Parth Patel won his first singles match vs Chagrin Falls on
Tuesday. Good luck boys in OHSAA tournament play.

The JV boys continued their strong season with victories
over Rocky River, Chagrin Falls, Vermillion, and BereaMidpark. The 11-2 Eagles were rained out of the SWC
tournament but look to finish strong over the last week of
the season.
Strong play from Tsao, Malinoski, Huynh, Nasrallah,
D’Amore, Szeltner, and the Digges brothers have fueled the
team all season long.

BOOSTERS BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED!!!!!
There are three expiring board positions that need
to be filled for the 2014/2015 school year. 1st Vice
President (Fundraising), 2nd Vice President
(Program & Spirit wear) and the Recording Secretary
position. Without volunteers to take these positions our fundraising, Night at the Races, offer spirit wear
and ability to help our student athletes and teams will
be reduced or in jeopardy – along with the inability
to be able to award scholarships the following school
year. Please consider assisting us by filling one
of these positions.
This year alone we are awarding $9,000 in
scholarships, we have assisted all teams including
Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Track, Cross Country,
Tennis, Golf, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Football,
Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Swimming,
Cheerleading and Middle School sports with team
equipments or gifts. The Boosters want to keep
assisting our athletes, but we need parent support in
order to accomplish this!
Our next Boosters meeting is on Monday May 12th
at the High School in the Eagles Room at 7pm,
please plan on attending this monthly meeting.
