Please remember to read next page with specific informations for the handlers.
Information for handlers is as follows:
All dogs should be on a flat collar and lead.
Dogs not to be fed on the morning of the training - however, if they have too - then only a small token feed.
Dogs not to be over exercised on the morning of the training - only a toilet exercise.
On arrival all dogs should be given an opportunity to do their toilet, before the seminar begins.
Handlers to bring:
Note book and pen
Camping seat/light weight chair
Tie down stake - so the dog can be tied, away from the handler.
Succulent treats chopped into small pieces (and a few slightly larger ones) ie cheese, hot dog sausage, ham, chicken,
cooked liver cake - something your dog really desires (High category rewards) - and some dry old kibble biscuits (low
category rewards) - all will be revealed.... these are to be in a plastic bag - in your bum bag or a container to keep
them in.
Bum bags are good - as they keep your hands free - or you have deep pockets!
Game bag/vest
Toys - Philipp Pheasant, teddy and a small catch toy - not a tennis ball.
2 dummies / 2 water dummies
All articles should be marked with owners name/initials
Whistle on lanyard
Clicker
Small piece of mat - sample size
Spectators – camping chair or stool / notebook and pen
Mobile phones switched off
No videoing or recording please
Questions and Answer session – only during the training workshop time – not during coffee/lunch breaks – this is so
everyone can benefit from any questions asked
Dogs need quiet time before the workshop – not playing with other dogs.... and quiet time after learning i.e. to be
put away in your cars/crates to rest and sleep so they can think about what they have been doing – do not allow play
immediately after training – only a toilet stop – before rest time.
Timing – everyone should be aware of the start times and be ready to start the workshop promptly.
