For the qualitative direct detection of nasal colonization by
methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) and selective medium
for the isolation, enumeration and identification of S. aureus.
Inoculation
of both sides of the plate will provide the ability
to interpret methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA)
or methicillin-sensitive S. aureus (MSSA).
