The 9th Annual Stars &
Stripes Festival returned to
Freedom Hill County Park
in Sterling Heights,
Michigan on June 25-28,
2015!
The 2015 festival brought
many changes including a
new festival layout,
national acts in the
Amphitheatre, a craft beer
village and several new
attractions!

organizations involved in the 2015
festival! Funfest Productions, Inc.,
creators of Stars & Stripes Festival,
donated more than $50,000 to
charities just this year and more than
$450,000 since 2006 amongst all three
of our festivals!

which was distributed

Attractions
The Vietnam Memorial Wall was
featured at the 2015 Stars and Stripes
festival next to the military memorials
at Freedom Hill County Park. The wall
was brought in by the Vietnam
Veterans of America - Chapter #154.

The craft beer village was a new
attraction to the 2015 festival. Eight
different craft beer companies were
featured throughout the weekend. The
addition of the village allowed our
charities to become involved in the
festival in a new way.

Shell-Camino Monster Trucks offered
rides to attendees all weekend long! This
was an attraction that allowed people of
all ages to participate together!
Family Fun Zone
The Family Fun Zone featured several
attractions for people of all ages
including the petting zoo, camel rides,
banana derby and pig racing! This
year’s Family Fun Zone was sponsored
by
Fifth Third Bank!

Carnival
The carnival had a new layout this
year that allowed guests to access the
rest of the festival in an easier manner
than past years. The new layout
fostered more traffic between both
sides of the festival.

Live Music
National headliners performed again in
the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre at the
Stars and Stripes Festival.
Headliners included Buckcherry,
Hoobastank , Scott Weiland, P.O.D.,
Sebastian Bach & Warrant!

Numerous local bands from
Detroit and surrounding areas
played on the Pavilion Stage for
the 2015 festival!

This year, we featured a
smartphone app that
attendees were able to
download as a festival
guide. This application
allowed guests to view
the music lineup,
sponsors, event map and
much more.

The Art Fair had more than 30
artisans at the 2015 festival! These
artists featured their hand made arts
and crafts from all across the State of
Michigan.

Salute to the Military
The Army, National Guard and
Vietnam Veterans all set up booths
around the military memorials.
They interacted with guests
throughout the weekend.
Military Family of the Year
This year our military family of the year
received $1,500 worth of furniture from
Gardner -White Furniture and $1,000 from
Funfest Productions, Inc.
The military family of the year is then
interviewed by Channel 7 WXYZ and
brought on stage to receive their award.

national headliners at the 2015 Stars
