SZABIST - Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of
Science and Technology is a fully-chartered
institute established through a Legislative Act of the
Sindh Assembly (Sindh Act XI of 1995) and
approved by the Higher Education Commission,
Pakistan as a degree-awarding institution. SZABIST,
one of the highest ranked universities in the

Computing involves analysis, development, and implementation of
mathematical algorithms to solve computational problems, understanding

All SZABIST academic programs are conducted by
PhD and postgraduate degree holders with
extensive experience in the academic, research or
the corporate world. Our excellence in teaching is
supplemented with well-equipped classrooms that
have latest audiovisual aids and are internet
enabled.
SZABIST provides modern libraries which include
digital libraries and online journals. SZABIST
publishes its well-reputed, online referred journals,
the Journals of Independent Studies (JISR) in
Computing, Management, Social Sciences, and
Economics. SZABIST has a fully Wi-Fi-enabled
campus, a campus radio (ZABFM 106.6), and online
course management system (ZABDESK).

through SZABIST’s own resources as well as through

Scholarship cover full or partial tuition fee;
however, in some cases they also cover books,

ADMISSION CRITERIA
BS(AF) - BBA - BS(CS) - BS(MS)
The candidate must have completed A-Level (minimum 3 passes) /
Intermediate with minimum 50% marks, (including first-year - no
supplementary) or IBCC equivalency (in case of Foreign Boards).
Mathematics background will be preferred for BSCS program.
MPM / MHRM
The applicant must possess a Bachelor degree (16 years) with minimum
55% marks / CGPA 2.50 from any HEC-recognized educational
institution.
MBA
The candidate must have a Bachelor degree with minimum 55% marks
or CGPA 2.5
PMBA / EMBA
The candidate must have a Bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks
or CGPA 2.5 and minimum 2-4 years of managerial work experience.
MS
Sixteen years of education in a related field with minimum 55% marks
or CGPA 2.5 and GAT General with minimum 50% score.
PhD
Eighteen years of education in a related field with minimum 60% marks
or CGPA 3.00 and GAT Subject with minimum 60% score.
Note: Candidates waiting for result can also apply. An entrance test will be conducted online at SZABIST. The selected
candidates will be called for interview/group discussion.
