Father Smith will be installed as pastor of Saint Maurice’s by Bishop John Folda during our 8:30 a.m. Mass on August 2,
2015. Following Mass breakfast served in to welcome Father Smith. Work Group 3 will be in charge.
Emma Waskom, Ashley and Anna Stoppleworth, Greta Klinnert, William and Chris Moffet, Amy and Christopher Duchsherer, Father
Kadlec and Judy Hively joined 2500 other students and 40 brother priests at Rochester. MN for the Steubenville Youth Conference
on July 10-12th. It was a weekend of inspirational speakers, awesome music, and prayerful Mass, Reconciliation, and awe-inspiring
Adoration. This Conference was an opportunity for the youth (and adults) to meet Christ where they are at and hopefully to grow
in their relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit was definitely alive and with all of us there and filling us with the fire of His love. It
was awesome!
We would like to thank you, our wonderful parish family, for your generous support throughout the year and your
many prayers as we journeyed together to meet Christ

WHAT IS ROLLAG?
How can you, as a member of St. Maurice’s Parish, contribute to this fund-raising event?
The Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion is held in Rollag, MN every Labor Day weekend. The WMSTR features tractors and threshing machines from days of long ago. WMSTR involves lots to see and do, and lots of food to
eat.
On Friday and Monday of that weekend, St. Maurice’s Parish supplies and works at a food stand at Rollag. This is our
biggest fund-raising event of the year; the monies have helped to pay off our building loan and has enabled us to complete such projects as concrete for the parking lot and NDGeo Thermal heating. And that’s why it is important for the
whole church community to participate.
Help is needed in many areas in preparation: baking needs to be done, foods need to be donated and brought to the
church in advance, some food needs to be made ahead of time, the building at Rollag needs to be cleaned, food and
paper products need to be transported, workers are needed for Friday and workers are needed for Monday.
This is an excellent opportunity for fellowship with each other. What a great way to get to know other parishioners.
There is no doubt that helping with the WMSTR is a lot of work, but, believe it or not, it is a lot of fun too! Talk to
some of the parishioners who have helped in past years about their experiences.
