THURSDAY 5th MARCH
2015
Introduction
Good evening and welcome to our “Easter Concert” at The Grange School.
You will hear the sounds of The Grange School Music Department and a
preview of next week’s dance show. The Year 11 BTEC students have been
preparing 2 contrasting songs in their individual groups to improve their
technical and performance skills over the last 6 weeks at school and are
taking quite a large leap to perform in front of an actual audience and have
worked particularly hard on their performance. The Year 10 BTEC group have
been preparing their mini-concert support slot for the past 8 weeks holding
planning meetings and arranging their own rehearsal schedule to put a
collection of songs for you. Both BTEC group are being filmed as evidence for
their portfolio in these units.
Please ensure all mobile devices are switched to silent or, most preferably,
off as they may interfere with some of the live sound equipment and some
students from Year 10 and 11 are being assessed on their ability to create
an effective front of house and monitor mix.
Last of all, a warm thank you from the entire music department for your
continued support and here’s to continuing steady growth of the musical
activities taking place in the school.
