No alcohol, such as spirits, wine or beer, is allowed in public areas in
Uppsala city centre. If you drink within the alcohol-free zone you risk
having your alcohol seized and receiving a fine. Your parents will be
contacted if you are under the age of 18.

Get home safely
At night there are many people who want to get home at the same time
and it can get crowded at the Travel Centre. It is a good idea to buy
your ticket in advance and find out when the last train and bus departs.
Keep in mind that it is life-threatening to walk on the railroad tracks.
Police and security guards will be on scene at the Travel Centre.

Show consideration to others by using the extra public toilets and
litter containers that are available in the city centre on Walpurgis
Night. In order to make way for emergency vehicles if something
happens, don´t bring furniture and barbecues to parks and other
recreational areas. Also, avoid glass bottles.

Decide on a meeting point in advance as mobile reception is
disrupted sometimes during Walpurgis Night.
It is ok to be sober or tipsy at bars, clubs or restaurants. However, the likelihood of being
involved in an accident or crime increases the more intoxicated you are. You will also be
barred from bars, clubs and restaurants if you are drunk.
