Thank you everyone for your part in making all of our children’s educational
experience here at Huffman Elementary a successful one. Huffman is a delightful
place to work and learn.
Everyone please have a restful and enjoyable holiday break. Spend a lot of time
with your children. It truly is the most valued gift you can give them.

General Information:
Equipment: We have equipment for all students and will spend some time fitting skates and ski boots. If students want to bring
their own equipment, they must store it in their classroom and it needs to be clearly marked with their name. Skis are not allowed
on the bus.
Clothing: Students should be prepared to be outside for 45 minutes on their ski or skate day. They must have warm clothes, a hat,
and gloves or mittens. Please provide LONG wool or synthetic socks. Short cotton socks or no socks = raw ankles. Yikes.
Parent Help: YES!!!! WE LOVE HELP!!!! Just check in at the office, get a visitors pass, and come on down to the gym. We especially
need help tying laces and helping the younger students get dressed, ready, and safely down to the ice rink or out to the field.
Equipment Donations: Sure. We are always wearing out equipment and can use new (your old) skis, boots, and poles and
hockey skates.
Thank you so much for your help and support,
Mrs. Bergt

The 3rd Annual Huffman
Sweet Treats Cookie
auction raised $1,500 for
the Children’s Lunchbox
Program. Thank you to
everyone that baked and
bid on cookies. Huffman
is such a great giving
community.
BRRRR!!! It’s getting cold
outside!!
Please make sure your students leave
the house with all their recess gear.
Outdoor Recess: Students who are well
enough to attend school are well
enough to play outside unless the
school receives a note from their
medical provider. Students in the ASD
play outside until temperatures are 10
degrees below zero Fahrenheit.
Appropriate attire is necessary to
prevent frost bite. All students K-6 are
expected to wear hats, gloves,
