To install Sun Java in Ubuntu
1.
Open terminal, and write the following.
For Ubuntu 10.04
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner"
For Ubuntu 10.10
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu maverick partner"
For Ubuntu 11.04
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu natty partner"
2.
In terminal, update the repositories.
sudo apt-get update
3.
Install the java packages.
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
4.
Installing the card reader.
sudo apt-get install libccid pcscd pcsc-tools libpcsclite-dev
