Things to Consider When Searching for a Venue
Location
This is probably one of the most important factors you'll want to consider. It's
wise to choose a venue within a reasonable distance from most attendees' homes
or offices. However, if the attendees will be travelling from afar, a venue close to
the airport or hotels will be a wonderful idea.
Venue Capacity
It is vital to know the room capacity of the venues for a few critical reasons. First,
100 people (if it is your estimated event size) cannot comfortably fit into a room
with a 50 person capacity. And second, there are fire and safety regulations that
the venue has to follow.
F & B Minimums
If the venue provides food and beverages and has a minimum food and beverage
spending amount (also called the F & B Minimum), make sure that the past F&B
records from previous events are in accordance with the minimum. Is your
estimate higher than the F&B spending minimum? That means you would be an
excellent customer to them. Try to negotiate whether they can offer
complimentary service in return for your generous spending. If you happen to
plan a grand UK event, then ask if they will provide a room to use as a rehearsal
space in London. Find out more at: https://www.methodacting.co.uk/studiohire/
