ActiveWater™

water management. ActiveWater™ Technology
consists of two systems: the sensor-controlled, automatic
load adjustment system and optimised water induction
system. Maximum textile protection is ensured as to avoid

start/pause button, you are allowed to add
additional items of laundry after the program
has started, only if it is within safe water and
temperature levels.
VarioSoft™ drum system
The revolutionary drum design with its
droplet-shaped surface, small holes and
asymmetrical paddles, adds a whole new
dimension in laundry care quality. Both
droplets on the drum surface and asymmetrical paddles
feature a flat and steep side for complete garment care.
AntiVibration™ design
In addition to the new EcoSilence Drive™,
we have also redesigned the structure of
the washing machines. Our AntiVibration™
design increases stability of the housing and
reduces vibrations.
Automatic Load Sensing
Washing small loads efficiently. The days of
filing the washing machines to full capacity
in order to save on electricity and water are
truly over – thanks to Bosch automatic load sensing.
Bosch automatic load sensing detects the load quantity
and ensures that only the amount of electricity and water
required for that load is used.
Drum Interior Light
The LED light installed in the drum will
automatically light up every time the door
is opened, closed and once the programme
starts. It will be lighted up for 10 sec each time. With the
drum interior light, no more missing out on small items, e.g.
socks, while retrieving the clothing from the drum. This is
also helpful for night wash programme.

Detergent chamber i-DOS® 1:
This chamber holds up to 1.3 l of
liquid detergent (e.g. all-purpose
or colour).
Detergent chamber i-DOS® 2:
This chamber is for 0.5 l of liquid detergent
or liquid fabric conditioner.
Manual dosing
You can of course continue to dose manually if you
so wish, for all programs apart from the automatic
ones. This is ideal when, for instance, you want to
use a special detergent, powder or stain removing
agent.

No one can beat you at washing.
And now, not at saving, either.
In nine out of ten cases, detergent is not dosed correctly: this results in several
thousand litres of water being wasted every year. With the unique intelligent
automatic dosing system i-DOS® from Bosch you can now not only save detergent
- but also the equivalent of around 58 bathtubs full of water per year.
Too much and too little detergent
Getting the amount right when manually dosing detergent is
no easy task – normally either too little or, in most cases, too
much is used. Neither does your washing or the environment
any good and both cost money.
The results of excessive dosing are:
• increased water consumption due to additional rinse
cycles
• visible detergent residue (especially on dark garments)
• higher detergent costs and increased impact on the
environment.
By contrast, the following problems often occur when
insufficient detergent is used:
• washing looks greyish and isn’t cleaned
• coloured garments look greyish and lose their brightness
• scale builds up in the washing machine
The five factors determining correct dosing
Manually dosing the right amount of detergent and fabric
conditioner is a difficult task. It must be adapted precisely,
down to the last millilitre, to the following:
• load size
• textile type
• soiling degree
• degree of water hardness
• washing machine drum capacity
High-precision dosing down to the last
millilitre
Save water by saving detergent. The unique
precision pump system, as used in the medical
sector, doses detergent with millilitre accuracy. Special
sensors detect the load size, and in the automatic programs,
even the type of fabric and degree of soiling as well. This
ensures that laundry is washed with the optimum amount of
detergent. And, even better: as excess dosing is avoided, so
are the additional rinse cycles to wash out soap suds. i-DOS®
can save you up to 7,062 litres of water every year.*
How it works
Add liquid detergent and fabric conditioner to the two i-DOS®
detergent chambers once only and leave the system to do
the dosing for you, precisely and automatically. The i-DOS®
feature is so powerful that even concentrated detergents are
handled with ease - even over extended periods of use. Given
average use, one fill-up is enough for around 20 washes.**
The solution: the intelligent automatic dosing system i-DOS®
from Bosch takes every factor into account - for premium
washing results.

green and wanting to save on energy consumption, you can
choose EcoPerfect®. Both options can be selected with most
wash programs. The machine then automatically adjusts the
wash process for perfect washing results, every time.

Save time with SpeedPerfect®
Let’s say you’ve been busy, you haven’t had time to do the
laundry for a while, and several loads have piled up. Or
you’re simply in a hurry to get it finished. Just press the
SpeedPerfect® option button along with your selected wash
program, and the program time will be reduced automatically
by up to 60%*.
You will still get outstandingly clean results for loads of up to
5 kg, but in much less time.

Save energy with EcoPerfect®
On the other hand, if you’re not in a hurry to get the washing
done and you want to save electricity, simply select your
wash program and press the EcoPerfect® option button. The
machine automatically adjusts the wash cycle and lowers
the water temperature to wash up to 8 kg of laundry while
using even less energy.
You will still get perfectly clean laundry, and save as much as
25% energy in the process. That’s great news for the
environment.

Wash programs to suit every need.
Stains happen. Our washing machines are equipped to deal with this fact. They
have the perfect program for all types of textiles. Be it your new jeans, woollen
garments, or favourite party dress, Bosch offers a number of special programs
to provide the ultimate in garment care and convenience.

Cottons Power 60
The Cottons Power 60 program for medium soiled loads of up to 8 kg and provides excellent
wash results in just 60 minutes.
SuperQuick
15’/30’
Bosch has created a short wash program of approximately 15/30 minutes for up to 2/3.5 kg of
lightly soiled washing. Packing in a wash, two rinse cycles and improved rinse spinning, this is
one of the shortest complete wash programs in the market.
Hygiene /
Sensitive
This program reduces exposure to allergens that irritate sensitive skin by prolonging the maximum
wash temperature, increasing the water level and adding an extra rinse to the wash cycle.
Automatic
Programs
The WAY32890GC washer features 2 automatic programs which offer the ultimate in convenience:
just press the button to automatically adjust the wash program and dosing to the type of washing,
load size and degree of soiling for perfect washing and rinsing results.
Mixed Load
A program designed to wash mixed fabrics of up to 3 kg in less than 60 minutes. It is ideal
for garments that need to be washed urgently, without the need to wait for a full load.
Wool Program
The wool program is tailored to give the optimum treatment of wool garments. It offers a gentle
wash action at a optimum temperature of 30°C. The gentle spin at the end of the cycle is short yet
effective, extracting water gently from the woollen garments allowing them to retain their shape.
Delicate/Silk
Program
A wash program suitable for silks, delicate viscose and synthetic items. The standard wash
temperature is preselected at 30°C and depending on the fabric wash instructions, may be
increased to 40°C or reduced to a cold wash to provide an accurate temperature controlled
washing environment.
SportsWear
The SportsWear wash program is designed specifically for functional and sports fabrics with
micro-fibre technology, like those used for the gym, cycling or jogging. The program offers two
rinse cycles with a gentle washing action for greater protection of fabric during the wash cycle.
Dark Load
Dark clothes, particularly jeans, often need special treatment. The Dark Load program features
low water temperatures, which provide better wash results for dark garments. The gentle washing
action helps protect fibres against bleeding and keeps dark clothes looking new. During the spin
intervals, a small amount of residual moisture in the fabric prevents the laundry from creasing,
which helps reduce ironing time.
Easy Iron
The laundry is tumbled gently periodically during the normal program spin cycle, and then at
the end of the spin phase, keeping laundry fluffy and tangle-free. The result is reduced creasing
and easy ironing.
Silent Wash /
Night Wash
This is a program with lower noise which have the acoustic signals deactivated*, thus making it
suitable to be operated at night. It uses 400C* hot water to wash and dries at a spin speed of
800rpm.
Stain Removal
Programs
The automatic stain removing option targets and removes the 16 most common stains. The
washing machine automatically adjust the temperature, drum rotations and soaking period to the
relevant stain before the selected wash program starts.

SelfCleaning CondenserTM
For a tumble dryer to run at peak efficiency,
the condenser has to be kept clean of lint,
which has traditionally meant washing of
the condenser manually. The groundbreaking Self-Cleaning
CondenserTM means the water extracted during the drying
cycle automatically cleans the condenser up to 4 times,
