Racing at NASCAR’s Home Tracks –
there’s no doubt it’s unlike any
other sport.
NASCAR Home Tracks showcase a sport
constantly in motion, where brute force
is complemented by skillful finesse,
bolstered by courage.
NASCAR Home Tracks are places where horsepower and
willpower meet and mix, creating some of the most intense
and exciting moments in all of sports.
At the same time, the adage that NASCAR is “more than just
a sport” seems tailor-made for NASCAR Home Tracks. This
is a true community we’re talking about, consisting of fans,
drivers, teams, sponsors and many more.
The people in our Home Tracks community come from a
variety of regions and backgrounds. But all are unified by a
single bond: the excitement and exhilaration of racing.
It’s all about sharing in the power of the sport we love
so much.
They are proud and passionate. They are powered by a
commitment to a lifestyle unlike any other.
And collectively, they form the foundation of NASCAR.
The following pages will give you a feel for that foundation.
Welcome to our community that is ... NASCAR Home Tracks.

FAST FACTS:
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) traces its roots back
to the very first NASCAR race held in Daytona Beach, FL in 1948.
Since its first season of competition in 1985, the modern-day NWMT
has annually traveled to historic short tracks throughout the northeastern
United States.
Whelen Engineering has committed to a long term partnership as the
series sponsor for both the NWMT and the NWSMT.
The NWMT schedule features companion events with NASCAR’s national
series at Bristol Motor Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Six different drivers have earned the NWMT title in the last seven seasons.
In 2012 nine-time NASCAR Modified Champion Richie Evans became the
first individual - not primarily associated with the Sprint Cup Series to be
inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
NWMT champions like Jeff Fuller, Donny Lia, Mike McLaughlin,
Jimmy Spencer and Mike Stefanik have ridden to success in the upper
levels of NASCAR racing, as have other tour standouts such as

NASCAR Drive for Diversity
NASCAR is committed to ensuring
that people from all backgrounds feel
welcome to participate in our sport.
NASCAR continues to place an emphasis
on diversity, an important element
that is helping to grow our sport. The
NASCAR Drive for Diversity initiative,
managed through Rev Racing, is the leading driver and crew
member development platform for minorities and females. The NASCAR
Drive for Diversity program has seen tremendous growth, coming off the
most successful season since its inception. Kyle Larson captured the 2012
NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship and Sunoco Rookie of the Year
Award, earning the program its first series title and second Rookie of the Year
honors in three years. The NASCAR Pit Crew Member Program presented
by Sprint boasts a full roster of participants and continues to graduate crew
members to NASCAR National series.
Follow the team using #D4D2013 Environmental Commitment
As one of the most recognized and
influential sports organizations in North
America, NASCAR takes its responsibility
to our environment very seriously. NASCAR Green was established as a
broad, industry-wide initiative to measurably enhance our conservation of the
environment and adopt green technologies, while helping our fans, teams,
tracks and sponsors find ways to incorporate environmentally responsible
practices into their everyday lives.
One on-track initiative is the NASCAR Green Clean Air Project. As the largest
tree-planting program in sports, the NASCAR Green Clean Air Project plants
ten trees for each green flag that flies during a designated NASCAR race,
capturing 100% of the carbon produced during that race. The program
debuted in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2009 and was expanded to
include markets and tracks in the NASCAR Home Tracks program in 2011.
