The Institute
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) is constituted under an
Act of Parliament i.e. the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No. 56 of
1980). ICSI is the only recognized professional body in India to develop
and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The Institute
of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) has on its rolls 25,132 members
including 4,434 members holding certificate of the practice. The number
of current students is over 2,30,000.
The Institute of company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has its headquarters at
New Delhi and four regional offices at New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and
Mumbai and 68 Chapters in India.
The ICSI has emerged as a premier professional body developing
professionals specializing in Corporate Governance. Members of the
Institute are rendering valuable services to the Government, Regulatory
`bodies, Trade, Commerce, Industry and society at large.
Objective of the Fund
Financial Assistance in the event of Death of a member of CBSF
Upto the age of 60 years

Upto Rs.3,00,000 in deserving cases on receipt of request subject to the
Guidelines approved by the Managing Committee from time to time; and
• Group Life Insurance Policy for a sum of Rs.2,00,000

Objective of the Fund
Education Allowance
Upto Rs.20,000 per child subject to maximum of two children in case of the
member leaving behind minor children
Benefits to Members admitted to the CSBF after attaining
the age of 60 years
The members above the age of 60 years can be admitted to the Fund.
However, in the event of death, financial assistance would be released @
Rs.40,000 for every completed year of membership or part thereof in excess
of six months subject to a minimum of Rs.50,000 and maximum Rs.2,00,000

Objective of the Programme
The Cultural Evening is being organized to further
strengthen the Corpus of the Benevolent Fund. The net
proceeds of this programme will be contributed directly
to the Fund.

UNNI MENON
Unni Menon…. is basically a Malayalam film playback singer. He has sung over
500 songs in South Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam .Kunjunni,
a violinist for music director Ilaiyaraaja introduced him to B.A.Chidambaranath,
a music director, and Unni’s musical career was launched in 1981–82 .
In 2003, Unni Menon added a new dimension to his career when he acted and
composed music for the Malayalam film Sthithi, besides singing the songs in
the film.

SRINIVAS
Srinivas... The famous playback singer from South India. Srinivas has
sung in Tamil and Malayalam for leading music directors like Illayaraja,
Deva, Rahman and Vidyasagar. He made a foray into music direction too
- he was one of the five music directors of the Tamil film ‘Ae Nee Romba
Azhaga Irukke’. His composition ‘Ini naanum naanillai’ in that film was a
major hit. Among his famous albums are‘Ussele Ussele’ and ‘Paarvai’.
His first private album in Hindi titled Yeh Duniya Sab Ki, which boasts of
a new sound on the Indi-pop front.... Also he worked as a co-composer
to Praveen Mani for "LittleJohn" now. Padmanarayanan, his guru in
music. The greatest influences on his life were Kishore Kumar, R D
Burman, Illayaraja, Pakistani ghazal singer Mehdi Hasan, S D Burman
and M S Viswanathan.
AWARDS

He was awarded the State Award by the government of Tamil Nadu twice, for his song "Minsara Poove"
from the Rajnikanth film Padayappa

In 2007 for his song, "Maargazhiyil" from Onbathu Rooba Nottu.

He got the Kerala State Award for the song "Baansuri" from the film Raathrimazha.

He was conferred with the title Kalaimamani by the Tamil Nadu government.

His other awards include the Cinema Express Award, IIFA Award, AV Max Award and Filmfans Award.

Most recently, he was awarded the Kerala Film Critics' Award for Best Music Director, for the movie
Seetha Kalyanam.

The playback singer from South cut his first private album in Hindi titled Yeh Duniya Sab Ki. His other hits
in Hindi include 'Kaisi Hai Yeh' from 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Zindagi' from the film 'Yuvvraaj‘.
ANOORADA SRIRAM
ANOORADA SRIRAM…. one of south India's leading playback singers, started her
music training at the tender age of 6. Well versed in both Carnatic and
Hindustani classical music. Anoorada has performed extensively all over India
and U.S.A and has given many radio and TV programmes since the age of 12.
Anoorada Sriram is one of the film industry's most versatile singers having sung
more than 2500 film songs in all the south Indian languages under all the
leading music directors. She has also had numerous hits in Hindi films too.

 Tamil Nadu State Kalai Manram's award for best female singer in 1996,
 The Karnataka State Award for best playback singer in 1999,
 The West Bengal State Award for best playback singer in 2004,
 Two nominations for the national award,
 Filmfare award for the best playback singer 2002,
 inaugural International Tamil Film Award held in Malaysia in 2003
 Many other awards such as Cinema Express, Dinakaran and Dinamalar awards.
 Most recently in 2006 she was awarded the prestigious Tamil Nadu State KALAIMAMANI award for
her significant contribution to the field of music.
Her path breaking Tamil Pop album entitled CHENNAI GIRL released in 1997, was a super hit having
crossed more than 3 lakh cassette sales worldwide. The title song video was the first Tamil album video
to be aired on international channels such as MTV, Sony Television and V. CHENNAI GIRL won the Screen
Videocon award for Best Pop Album in 1998, along with A.R.Rahman's Vande Mataram. The album is
unique since Anoorada co-composed the album along with her husband Sriram Parasuram, and penned
all the lyrics for the album too.
MALATHY LAKSHMAN
Mrs. MALATHY LAKSHMAN the better half of Lakshman is a versatile
playback singer doing well in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam film
industry. So far the hit song “Aa Ante Amalapuram” in Hindi movie
“Maximum” have a record of four million viewers in the You Tube which is the
recent sensation.
She is also famous for her sensational song Viz… ‘Manmatha Rasa’ in Tamil (film: Thiruda
Thirudi), some of her Telugu hits include Aarya, Venki, Yours Abhi, Donga Dongadi, Shankar
Dhadha M.B.B.S., Anandamaanand mayee, Shiv Sankar, Sye, Ammayee Bagundhi She started
her career as a stage singer in the year 1986 and performed around 7,000 live shows to her
credit all over the world. She is also famous for her exceptional ability of singing in 40
different voices like K.B.Sundarambal, Dr.Vijayalakshmi Navaneethakrishnan, Bangalore
Ramaniammal, L.R.Easwari, Manorama, S. Varalakshmi Soolamangalam Sisters, Usha Uthup,
Shubha Mudgal, Alka Yagnick and others.





their credit in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

& 18th – 1994 at Kamarajar Arangam, Chennai was inaugurated by Dr. K J Yesudas and
felicitated by the Legends like Mellisai Manner M.S Viswanathan, Isaignani Ilayaraja and
Isaipuyal A. R. Rehman witnessed by 24,000 audience.
