As you all
know the book fair was
November 5-7 and we
did a quick interview
with one of LJA’s parent
volunteers working at
the book fair, Ruth
Bessinger. She said
that the most popular
book was Diary of a
Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck,
they ran out so fast they
had to get more copies!
The most popular
poster was the
Minecraft poster.
All the money
from the book fair goes
to the school library and
for the high school
senior class for the end
of the year party. Last
year the book fair
raised $5000, and was
shared by LJA’s
librarians.

This month’s book of the month winner is HOUSE OF HADES!
We conducted an online survey based from earlier online submissions.
This book won with 11 votes. Second place was Divergent (9 votes)
and in third place Ender’s game (7 votes)! Also we had a tie for 4th
place Maximum ride and Beyonders with 6 votes each! House of
Hades is a book filled with adventure,'>".<4=) and different points
of view and 9*$-&D'We have it here in the MS/HS library!

First Annual P.O.W.S. Game
On October 8th, LJA’s Junior
Basketball League and Trinity
Christian School all competed in the
first annual Junior League Game.
This game was sponsored by
Boston’s Pizza. It was a good start
for the Bulldogs; by the halftime the
score was 15-3. The halftime
consisted of a mini game between
LJA’s young 3rd grade teams.
During the game, many fouls
occurred on Trinity’s team leaving
the Bulldog’s with a chance to make
extra points. After the halftime the
bulldogs fought their way to victory
with an amazing score of 25-9.
