We are pleased to invite you to nominate your pet
to the annual Pet Mayor of Corrales Election. To
honor Corrales as a pet friendly community, the
election will help raise funds for organizations and
activities meeting the needs of the two-legged and
four-legged members of the Village
Please Provide the Following Information about You and your Candidate

The success of the Pet Mayor Election is dependent on the excitement,
enthusiasm, and momentum built by its candidates. As with most elections these
days, there are few rules except one: TO GET VOTES! Voters place their votes
by putting money ($1 per vote) into unique bins at various locations throughout
the voting period of about 6 weeks. The candidate with the most “votes” (i.e. the
pet that has raised the most money) is the winner of the Mayor's race. Other
“officers” will be elected as well depending upon the number of candidates and
types of pets. The winner will be announced on the last day of the Harvest
Festival – October 16th, along with other officers. All will be awarded prizes.
Please make sure you can commit to the following (which is also a checklist)

Campaign Sponsor
We ask that all candidates have a business, organization, or classroom
sponsor their campaign. This will require a $25 (minimum) sponsor fee
payable to the Kiwanis Club of Corrales Foundation Festival to help defray
costs associated with the election. We prefer that you choose your own
sponsor, but we are happy to match you up.
Please indicate your preference:
_____ I have chosen ____________________________ to be my sponsor. I
have informed them of the $25 fee to be paid to the Kiwanis Club of
Corrales Foundation. In return the business will be advertised as a sponsor
of the Pet Mayor Event.
_____ Match me with a business/organization as my sponsor.
_____1) Creating a “campaign” including text that can be placed onto flyers for
the voting bins.

Growers Market and invite votes on the spot.
_____6) Explaining to potential voters the benefits of their votes as more than
fun, but a tax-free donation (think big checks here………) to a charitable cause

again, and again.
_____7) Participating in the Harvest Festival Pet Parade to show off your
