FCA Sports Strategy
God has placed a special calling in the lives of the FCA Sports
team as we serve our sports communities. Our heart is drawn
“to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence
of athletes and coaches.” Forty-four million youth ages
18 and under play organized sports in America.* In our
effort to fulfill this great vision, we know that we have much
more to do, and we need more teammates, like you.
FCA Sports (Sport-Specific Ministry) provides opportunities to serve athletes and coaches in the sport(s)
where their greatest passion lies. FCA Sports exists for
those who have:
• A passion for Jesus Christ.
• A passion for their sport.
• A passion to reach people in their sport
for Christ.

FCA Sports Ministry
Opportunities
The strategy described on these pages provides you
with an understanding of different opportunities to
join in our effort to impact - Every Athlete. Every
Coach. Every Sport.
• Volunteer as a coach at a
clinic, camp or conference
• Pray for the FCA Sports
ministry
• Provide financial support for
the FCA Sports ministry
• Train, equip and resource local people to impact the athletes and
coaches of their sport within their local community.
• Coordinate ministry programs that impact their sport for Christ.
• Develop new sports ministries that deepen the impact within their sport.
Each FCA Sports ministry is led by an FCA staff member who works in
partnership to lead focused ministry within the varying structures and levels of
each sport. They also work with local volunteers to use specific sports to grow
the impact of the local ministry efforts such as working with leagues, creating
events, adding specific sports to current camps or adding new camps.
Our goal is to have twelve FCA Sports ministries by 2012.
Our current FCA Sports ministries include:
Sport
Golf Lacrosse Baseball Endurance Motocross Health & Fitness
Skateboarding Ice Hockey Cheerleading
Surfing
• Be an ambassador locally
for FCA Sports and invite
others to join

“FCA Sports has allowed me to combine
my natural gifts of motocross riding with
my spiritual gifts of teaching, helping and
hospitality to glorify God. I hadn’t realized
before that God will enhance my love for
the sport if I would use [it] to glorify Him.
It was a big eye-opener for me.”
“FCA Skateboarding is so needed
to equip those called to share Christ
through skateboarding. I am so
grateful for FCA’s commitment
to reach skateboarders with the
Gospel.”

This first-class golf event ties the local FCA golf
events into the national FCA Golf Ministry and
deepens the player’s faith, strengthens FCA loyalty
and provides the participant an opportunity to play
for a national championship.
Lacrosse - Clinics
One or two-day clinics in the local areas offer an
opportunity to share the Gospel, promote FCA
Camps and provide top level lacrosse instruction.
Motocross - Outreach Events
Provide opportunities for local staff and volunteers
to use motocross events in their area to share the
Gospel and let the local motocross community
know about FCA ministry in their community and
