Breakfast. Travel on the traditional Andes train between Riobamba and
“ Devil’s Nose”. Visit of the Inca Ruins of Ingapirca, the most important
archeological site of Ecuador. Departure in private vehicle towards

This train ride is a technical achievement, built in the nineteenth
century. The path is usually somewhat complicated but very exciting, the
railway descends the hillside on a slope that goes from 2346 meters
above sea level to 1860 m through a winding road, a way of less than
one hour
The archaeological site of Ingapirca is the most important and significant
of Ecuador. Archaeologists have determined that the foundation took
place in the late fifteenth century and they think that the Canaris, a small
tribe that populated the Andes in southern Ecuador, were the original
inhabitants of the site until the arrival of the Inca Empire. The
archaeological remains are located 90 kilometers north of the city of
Cuenca.

facades, give it a colonial character that we can describe as unique in
Ecuador.
