About e-oncología
e-oncología is an online space for specialized oncology
education.
e-oncología represents the first experience in online continuous
education in oncology in Spanish language.
Its main aim is to create virtual learning spaces related to
cancer.
It is an initiative from the Catalan Institute

SEOM Post-graduate certificate on medical oncology for residents
The aim is to provide a uniform standard of education
on cancer patient management.
It is a complementary resource to Hospitals by
providing the basic knowledge required by the Medical
or Clinical Oncology curriculum.
Developed in partnership with the Spanish Society of
Medical Oncology (SEOM).
60 professionals comprise the faculty.

Nursing care for hematology and cancer patients

VUCCnet Project- IAEA
VUCCnet Project- IAEA
In cooperation with its international partners in cancer control, the
IAEA has developed the Virtual University for Cancer Control
(VUCCnet). As a first step, VUCCnet Africa was developed as an
innovative pilot project that is helping address the human resource
shortage by using e-learning and traditional teaching
approaches to develop human resources in cancer control in
Africa.
The VUCCnet Africa project is focusing initially on four Member
States that represent the English-speaking component of the
project: Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia. South Africa and
Egypt are mentors in the project.

The project
The aim of the project is to evaluate and demonstrate the
feasibility of informal and social training using mobile
learning in the context of continuous learning for in-service
oncology nurses.
The partners are:
• National Centre of Nursing and Other Health Care
Professions Brno and the Ministry of Public Health of the
Czech Republic (NCO NZO).
• Kaunas University of Medicine, University of Lithuania.
• European Institute of Oncology (Italy).
• Catalan Institute of Oncology (Spain).
• Institute of Oncology Ljubljana (Slovenia).
• Faculty of Medicine, Baskent University (Turkey).
• Delta Media, a company with experience developing
solutions for the health care sector (Spain).
It is a project with the support of the Lifelong Learning
Programme of the European Union.
