I wonder if people in Greenbelt

I live adjacent to woods which
belone to GBI on Ridge Rd. belaw Weat-y, and I am appalled
by the eont.lnual dumping. People
come from blocks around to dump
lawn clippinp, bedee trimminp,

She's A New Choice
by aull!orlty J.R. Greig, Treasurer
Dear Friends:
In my continuing campaign to meet
personally with every one of you, I am
constantly being reminded of tlle values
we share in this community. Mutual respect and cooperation, and a ftrm dedication to a family environment, are the
qualities that ·have made Greenbelt a truly
unique community. Because of these qualities, Dea and I chose to make our home
here in 1977. When Kristina was bom
S~ years aa-o. we knew we wanted to raite
her here in Greenbelt.
It is for the sake of my family, therefore, that 1 have dedicated my efforts to
the preservation of these values in the
Greenbelt community. My contributions
to Greenbriar (where we reside), the Community Relations Advisory Board, the
Crime Prevention Committee the Greenbelt Arts Trust, the City Council, and
other community orranlzationa are var·
lous expressions of this cotrtmitment.
Because I want my daughter to rrow. up with a sense of safety ancl
security, I have consistently worked for effective pollee protection Heked
by citizen involvement In crime prevention. Beeaue 1 would like K.rlltlna
constantly expoeed to the beat ereatiollB of the human mind and spirit, I
have worked for the enhancement of the cultural arts in Greenbelt. Because 1 want .. Kristina to share her parents' senae of wonder at the worb
of nature u God created It, I will continue to strive to Pl'lllrve and expand what remains of our beautiful rreen apaeea and parks. Moet importantly, I will strive to be sensitive to the deairea of all our citizens in all
elvic matters In order to teach our clau1hter by example the kind of human
beinr we would like her to become.
If you share these values and this commitment on behalf of your own
famllles, then I invite you to vote for me on September to. that 1 may continue to serve on our cltv council. My only promise to you Ia that, relard·
leu of the outcome of thrs election, my commitment ahall remain.
