Construction work is progressing in
accordance with the schedule. Over
recent weeks we have mounted the
prefabricated
concrete

and
columns for the middle and top floors,
placed the hollow core slabs and poured
a concrete layer on both floors.
Furthermore, we have installed the

26 prefabricated concrete walls from
9 to 19 tons;
• 76 prefabricated columns with a
weight of 2.3 tons each;
• 52 steel beams with a weight of 4.5
tons each.
All of this has been achieved using a 50
ton crane, a 70 ton crane, a 42 meter
mobile tower crane, and a 400 ton crane
for assembly works.

Now, shortly before our summer
holiday, a part of the roof deck will be
applied. After our summer break, the
rest of the steel structure and roof deck
will be installed. This means that on
September 9th, the rough structure will
be completed.
Number of freights:
In addition, we have already welcomed
many trucks, for example:
• 24 loads of hollow core slabs;
• 16 loads of prefab deliveries;
• 32 concrete mixers (truck = 8 m³
concrete).
From August 30th we start to build up
the scaffolding around the building and
on September 12th we start with the
closing of the facades.

The following statistics are associated
with the project:
Current Situation ‘H-106 A’
In building section A, the new masonry
walls are close to completion. In the
former
entrance
area,
temporary
arrangements (in order to protect
against weather influences) have been
applied.
2
Last but not least
From Tue 30th Aug, the ring road next to
the building site (Limburgstraat) will be
rearranged. There will be a temporary
road bypass indicated by signs. Also, the
sewer system will be inserted and
connected in this period.
This is executed because the existing
steel structure and the roof, including
roofing, will be demolished. See the
picture below for these temporary
arrangements in the former entrance
area.
After the holidays, a new steel structure
will be installed to connect the existing
building with the new walkways to the
new Wing – Wing J.
Also after the holidays we will start with
the preparations for the walkways and
the construction works for the new
guard post (Post 18) in the inner patio
of H106 I.
