Cleaning:
Use this procedure to repair or refinish OEM finishes or fully cured, sound old paint work.
Wash all areas to be refinished with water and a mild detergent
soap. Rinse thoroughly and let dry.
Clean all areas to be painted with wax and grease remover.
Sanding:
AP
Limco 203 Clesol
Dry sand all painted areas and any body filler areas that will be
primed with 240 grit sandpaper. Be sure to only prime over sanded
areas.
Sand any areas that will be topcoated directly with 400 grit or finer
wet or 320 grit or finer dry.
Prepare any areas that are to be blended into by compounding and
scuffing with a fine scuff pad.
Cleaning:
Use an air blow gun to remove all traces of dust and dirt from the
cracks and surfaces of the vehicle.
Clean all areas to be painted with pre-paint cleaner.
Limco 139 Final Wash
R-M 909 Final Wipe
Do not allow pre-paint cleaners to dry on the surface. Apply wet
and then dry with a clean rag.
