The Crumbzz European Bistro takes the Crumbzz penchant for excellence to a new
level with locally produced dishes only available at the Forney location.
The history of this wonderful family recipe goes back over four hundred years to a little
town in Austria, where the Sadler family perfected their recipe.
First offered to the public in 1999, the Sadler family crumb cake found a welcome
home in the tiny Hudson Valley NY Hamlet of Highland Falls.
Snuggled beneath the shadow of the Appalachian Mountains, this town of 2500
people kept their crumb cake secret until 2001, when a New York City resident named
Chuck Deller happened upon his “epicurean pot of gold”. Deller brought his find back
to the City and the secret of the Sadler crumb cake was out for good.
By 2001, lines of “cakers” waited anxiously for their chance to enjoy the next, steaming
crumb cake, fresh out of the oven.
As was the family’s tradition of quality above all else, Executive Chef J Stephen
Sadler has traveled the world to procure the finest ingredients for his family
masterpiece.
Bourbon Vanilla from Madagascar, Saigon Cinnamon from Vietnam, Dark
Muscovado Brown Sugar from The Mauritius Islands, European Low Gluten Flour,
Origine Chocolates from Tanzania, locally produced free-range eggs, premium
unsalted butter from local Golden Guernsey Cows, and Hungarian Lekvar Preserves
are all part of what makes Crumbzz Crumb Cakes so special.
Keeping with J Stephen’s “everything natural” vision, no mixes, artificial ingredients,
preservatives or chemicals ever go into any Crumbzz offering.
Sold throughout the world, and now available at its first European Bistro in historic
downtown Forney, TX , diners can enjoy the family’s crumb cakes as well as a
multitude of unique dining experiences, where each dish follows the Sadler tradition
of quality above all else.
A multitude of delicious Crumbzz creations, set in a beautiful european bistro, nestled
in a historic downtown, provides the perfect setting for this wonderful Sadler family
