ALFA-X
The product named Alfa-X, developed by Koçak Chemistry, is an organic mixture that is used as a
substitute for water in all closed circuit heating systems which operate with natural gas, coal or fuel-oil
etc. and has no detrimental effects.
Properties of Alfa-X:

It is a substitute for water in heating systems.

It gets heated earlier and cools later in comparison to water.

Since it absorbs calories very fast, it conducts heat earlier than water.

Boiling point: 192 °C

Freezing point: -63 °C

Does not cause calcification or corrosion.

It does not burn and is not flammable.

It does not smell.

It does not include carcinogens (substances which cause cancer).

Its usage ratio is 40 % Alfa-X and 60 % tap water.

Applied once it can be used for many years.
How does it provide fuel saving?
In heating systems, Alfa-X is added to the circulation water in a ratio of 40 % to water. It behaves like
an isolation material in the system with quick calorie absorption and fast heat conductivity. It is put
into the system once and it can be used continuously as long as the system works properly. Its cost is
much more competitive than the other isolation systems. After it is put into the system, it amortizes its
cost in 3 months with the saving it provides.
Matters to be considered before application
It is not to be used in systems where the circulation water in the radiators is also used in house.
Some houses employ pumps which are forced to transfer water to larger areas than they were designed
for. In these houses, due to the use of these low capacity pumps, the recirculation of the heating
system will slow down, and it is likely that these systems already consume large amounts of fuel. In
such buildings, the overconsumption problem cannot be solved with Alfa-X. Since the viscosity of
Alfa-X is less than water, it will increase the load of the pump, which will further slow down
circulation. Thus no saving will be achieved and the radiators which are the furthest away from the
boiler will not get heated. In this case, if possible, the pump is to be changed. If not changed, Alfa-X
should not be used in the system. However, be advised that if the recirculation in such a building is not
corrected, meaning a stronger pump is not installed, the energy consumption will always remain high.
It has been observed that in some buildings, if the central heating pipes are not installed in accordance
with a professional plan during construction, the pipes installed afterwards usually result in a very
chaotic piping system. There, the usage of unnecessary pipe elbows makes the recirculation of water
in the system rather difficult. In such buildings, it’s clear that a high consumption of fuel will occur. In
such buildings, again, the usage of Alfa-X usage is not advised without first solving the circulation
problem by employing higher capacity pumps.

Comments after having used Alfa-X

We have used Alfa-X in the upper three floors of our main building. After three hours of installation,
our technicians have reactivated the system.
In our measurements, after the installation of Alfa-X, we noticed a serious reduction of our total fuel
consumption. Before we used Alfa-X, we had a daily consumption of 110 cubic meters fuel, now with
Alfa-X we use only 80 cubic meters, which means that we are saving 27% of our fuel. Our Institution
has gained a serious reduction of costs with Alfa-X. Beside these impressing savings, we also noticed
that the rooms are now getting heated much faster. Furthermore, one of our biggest problems before
the use of Alfa-X was that our heating system got frozen in extreme winter situations, which caused
serious technical problems. To avoid freezing, we had to heat non-stop, even through the holidays.
After using Alfa-X we noticed that the freezing of our heating system stopped, which makes for
another cost reducing advantage for Institution.
We are very pleased with the efficiency of Alfa-X and we want to thank the firm that produces Alfa-X

Our Use of Alfa-X and its Consequences
We found out about Alfa-X Energy Saving Liquid through a brochure that was distributed in our area,
and the promises of energy saving attracted our attention. As a group of judges, we thought that we as
inhabitants of the housing area might save a lot by using Alfa-X. So we started investigating and
invited the representatives of the firm over for a discussion. During this session, we read up on the
reports of the universities on Alfa-X, and the representatives have enlightened us about the technical
details, which made us decide to use Alfa-X. The next day their technicians came and installed the
mixture in our system.
In our measurements after having used Alfa-X, we noticed a serious saving in our total energy
consumption. Before, our energy consumption per living unit was 7 cubic meters, now with Alfa-X it
is only 4. This fact has enabled our community to enjoy an important saving.
We want to thank the authorities, who have enlightened us about their product and convinced us to use
it, so we could have a serious reduction of costs.

As Canakcilar Ceramics Factory, we have been using your Alfa-X liquid since January 2008.
To heat the clay mud we need for our production processes, we heat the clay tank containing the
mud by using electrical heater coils in a water reservoir surrounding the tank.
We were facing the problem that our electrical heater coils, placed in the city tap water reservoir
surrounding the clay tank, broke approximately 2 times per month due to excessive corrosion,
because of which we were faced with production, time and labor losses. After learning about
Alfa-X, and due to its energy saving and corrosion prevention characteristics, we started to use a
20 % ratio of Alfa-X in our heating water reservoir. It is now 2.5 months since we started using
Alfa-X, and we have had no problem with the heating coils since then. Furthermore, the
temperature of the clay mud has not dropped under the preset degree once. Therefore, thanks to
Alfa-X, we have totally eliminated the losses which we were confronted with previously.
We plan to further increase the ratio of Alfa-X in the reservoir, as the amount of water in the
reservoir decreases due to normal evaporation losses.

We have been using Alfa-X liquid within our clay mud warming water reservoir now for 12
months since January 2008. At first we applied a 20 % ratio of Alfa-X. During our observation
time of 3-4 months, we experienced no problems at all with our heating coils, which were
malfunctioning and breaking down before all the time. Therefore we increased the ratio of Alfa-X
each time when we had to add more water to the system due to evaporation losses.
Since our application of Alfa-X from January 2008 up to now, we observed no problems with our
electrical heating coils, which previously broke down once or twice per month. Moreover, the
temperature of our clay mud has been kept constant at 45 °C. By using Alfa-X we have profited
a lot, and we furthermore prevented the monthly loss of 800 to 1000 pieces of product due to
heating coil malfunctions, which increased our annual production by a total of 10.000 pieces.

Alfa-X was used in ELKOTERM combined electrical heating and central heating systems.
Here are the results:
1.
No corrosion was found on heating coils of our thermal value equipment (resulting in
increased device efficiency).
2.
No calcification in heat exchangers or other parts of our thermal value equipment was
found, resulting in reduced maintenance.
3.
There were no adverse effects on the circulation pumps of our thermal value equipment.
4.
