Battle of Bunker Hill
• Site is privately owned by generations of the Harvey family since 1755. A
250+ acre pasture with a broad rolling hill and ridge, similar to the type of
open ground at Breed's Hill 240 years ago. The hill rises 50-60 feet above
"ground level", so that from the perspective of the crowd it is the same
height and scale as Breed's Hill.
• Earthworks based on American accounts of the original Breed's Hill redoubt
and split-rail fence used by the CT and NH troops during the battle.
• Site has a strong connection Capt. Dearborn's Company of Col. Stark's NH
militia who fought at the top of the rail fence that day.
• Private financing, using the 10th Regiment of Foot’s 501(c)3 Events Fund.
Port-a-pots, water and wood are already financed. Working with Epping on
police details, permitting and other services. Donations are welcome!
