A fatty acid that is derived from tallow or vegetable oil, it's a very effective
wax modifier that has been used in candle making for over 150 years.
Stearic will help increase opacity and will raise the melt point and hardness

UV (ULTRA-VIOLET) ABSORBERS
Reduce fading of candles displayed in natural or artificial light.Usage levels
vary greatly depending on the application and process.
Two-part system that prevents fading. Adding equal parts of UV-531 and
UV-5411 at .001% works well for most colors. Pastel colors, blues, and
lavenders tend to fade more quickly and may require larger amounts of
this UV Absorber. For smaller batches, use 1/2 teaspoon of each.

Granulated wax, also referred to as magic wax crystals or scented sands, can be used in
a myriad of applications. You can make an instant candle by just pouring the crystals
into a glass container and placing the wick in. The granulated “beads” can be layered
to create very unique looks. Much like sand art, wax art crystals are a great source for
individuals to make their own candles at fairs, carnivals and craft shows.

Our Highly Concentrated Liquid Dyes (EVO item numbers) offer excellent color
consistency and strength for crisp, clean and bright candles. EVO dyes disperse
well, leaving no dark spots of color. Colors do not separate in storage, so only
a minimal shaking is required to be ready to use. High viscosity reduces splashing and spilling, and makes dye easier to handle.
EVO dyes have a pleasant, mild scent and compatible with most waxes including paraffin, soy, palm, gels and blended. They do not contain hazardous solvents or additives such as naphtha or naphthalene. Flash point of this coloring
is over 203°F. EVO dyes are never tested on animals and NO EVO INGREDIENTS are on the California Prop 65 list of cancer causing ingredients.

Our BC pigment dyes cover over-dipped items faster,
with a heavier buildup of color, while using less
amounts of pigment. They are light fast, largely heat
proof, and do not migrate. They are two to three
times stronger in coloring than our CM pigment
dyes. Melting point is approximately 150°F. Mix any
of these colors to create the color you need. Do not
use for coloring whole cores as pigment dyes can
impair burning properties. Use at 1-1/2% to 2% for
one dip, 1% for two dips, and 1/2% to 2% for solid
color in decorative or relief candles.

Candlewic offers one piece, seamless, aluminum molds that produce excellent pillar candles. No
seams to trim and perfect mold release. These molds are designed for small to large manufacturers.
They can be water bathed for speeding up production or air-cooled. A best buy if you plan on expanding production of pillars. Use our rubber plugs to seal the bottom. It’s important to understand that the
bottom of the mold is the top of the candle. All molds are extremely durable: one piece, seamless aluminum with a sidewall thickness of 0.04”. The molds are available with a recessed top and wick hole.

These molds are manufactured from
polyurethane, which is a flexible rubber type
material, and are perfect for making your own
tapers. They are great for beeswax or paraffin
waxes, with no sticking. They are self wicking,
just pull the candle out and pull up the new
wicking which is self-sealing at the base, no
sealer is needed around the wick. There are
four styles to choose from in many different
heights. Single molds for each style with no
seams to clean. Candlewic Company was the
first to manufacture tapers from polyurethane
for use in casting beeswax. These are
perfect for casting tapers for resale.

Flexible polyurethane tea-light mold with tapered pins, makes 15
or 100 tea light blanks with center hole. Pour the wax in mold
with pins in place. After wax starts to harden, remove pins. After

THE SCIENCE OF THE WICK
PK Series
WICK TYPES
The candle’s wick is the pipeline that feeds the melted wax vapor to
the flame by capillary action. Initially, the heat of the flame melts
the wax at the top of the candle. Once the melt pool is formed, the
molten wax is drawn to the flame by the capillary action of the wick.
Once the wax reaches the wick, a chemical reaction occurs
between the vaporized hydrocarbons and the oxygen in the air.

Zinc Core Series
RRD Series
When you take a look at the candle’s flame, you will notice that the
flame is nearly invisible near the wick and a yellow luminous zone
surrounds it. It is near the wick that the wax vapors are breaking
down, releasing hydrogen and as a result, long unsaturated carbon
chains are formed. These carbon chains are actually tiny particles
of soot. It is these tiny soot particles that burn and release the yellow light of the candle’s flames. If there is enough oxygen and not
too much wax vapor being created at the wick, the soot particles
are completely burned up in the flame and the candle releases only
heat, light, water and carbon dioxide. If there isn’t enough oxygen
and too much vapor, the flame will release the soot and not fully
combust, causing the wick to bloom (mushroom).

WICK SELECTION
Selecting the proper wick to match the many combinations of
waxes, additives, fragrances, color and gel available in today’s
candle market can require some time and effort . It is probably the
most important decision of the candle maker. It is imperative to
select the correct wick so the candle will burn slowly, with an even
flame, and with minimal smoke and soot. Keep in mind that a
good candle requires a good wick.

Zinc core wicking is used in many applications such as tea-lights, votives and container
candles. Zinc burns the coolest of all the cored wicks and offers the most rigidity. These
wicks are constructed by using 100% natural fibers in the cover of the zinc core. Zinc cored
wicks are most effective in paraffin-based waxes and VersaGel but are not recommended
for use in natural/renewable waxes. If using a one-pour wax, you may need to increase in
the size.
Cotton core wicking is for applications such as votives, pillars and containers. Cotton core
wicks produce the hottest flame of all the cored wicks and will help minimize carbon
buildup. These wicks are constructed of 100% natural fibers, and are effective in paraffinbased and natural/renewable waxes.
Paper core wicking can be used in applications such as votives and container candles.
Paper core wicks do not burn as hot as cotton but they do offer more rigidity. These wicks
are constructed of 100% natural fibers with a paper core, and are effective in paraffinbased waxes.

The LX series wick is a flat braided wick with stabilizing threads and a special treatment.
It is designed to improve the burning of solid scented, solid colored votive, container and
pillar candles. The LX series offers solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn,
advanced treatment that is designed to reduce after glow, smoke and coking (soot), and
self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates blooming (mushrooming).
The LX NST2 is available with our proven NST2 chemical treatment. This series is designed
to improve the burning of scented and unscented, solid colored, votive, pillar and container candles. The LX NST2 series has proved very successful in both molded and filled applications for paraffin/natural blends and 100% natural wax blends.
Square braided wicks were originally designed for beeswax candles but can be used in all
types of waxes. Their open construction and special treatment make them a good selection
for viscous material (beeswax and vegetable waxes). Square wicks are designed to produce
a curl when burned to minimize carbon buildup. This wick is constructed of 100% natural
fibers with a special treatment and is very effective in large containers or as custom wick
assemblies.
Flat braided wicks are designed for use in pillars and tapers. This wick gives a slight curl
when burning which reduces carbon buildup and makes the wicks self-trimming. This wick
is ideal for hand dipping and extruding and dipping machines. This wick is constructed of
100% natural fibers with a chemical treatment to improve the burn performance. These
wicks are effective in paraffins.

The RRD series is a directional round wick with a cotton core and tension threads. It is
designed to improve the burning of solid scented, solid colored, votive and container
candles and comes standard with the NST2 treatment.
The ECO series is a specialty flat wick braided with interwoven paper threads. This
braiding technique gives the ECO series an increased stability level found only in
square braided wicks. The ECO series is designed to improve the burning of solid
scented, solid colored, pillar and container candles, and has been found to perform
very well in paraffin/natural wax blends. The ECO series has it's own special chemical
treatment which significantly reduces the afterglow normally seen in wicks containing
paper.
The ECO series offers you self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates carbon [mushrooming].
The PK series is a specialty flat braided wick that is designed to improve the burning
of scented and unscented, solid colored, votive, pillar and container candles that are
paraffin based. The PK series has proved successful in both molded and pressed
applications.

Hemp cored wicks are 100% hemp core enclosed in a cotton sleeve. These wicks
offer you very good rigidity during the production of container candles. Hemp cored
wicks are very effective in natural and paraffin based container, votive, and pillar candles.
HTP is a wick designed to provide the benefits of a self-trimming wick posture with
rigidity found in cored wick. This rigidity is due to a specialty yarn fiber that is incorporated into the construction of the braid. This specialty yarn, which is 100% natural
fibers increases the burn temperature, which results in less carbon buildup
(Mushrooming). This is a good all around wick for paraffin, gel and vegetable waxes
that require hotter burning applications.
CD wicks are specialty wicks with interwoven paper threads. This wick will offer you
increased rigidity and will improve the burn of solid scented, solid color, votive, container and pillar candles.
Recommended for paraffins but has been found to be effective in gel and natural wax
candles.

Sustainer bases (wick tabs)
Candlewic offers many different wick tabs for use on our wick assemblies. Our sustainers are
made of tin coated steel. The coating helps prevent rust and corrosion caused by heavier fragrances. Today the sustainer is considered an integral, important part of the finished candle.
Sustainers with extended necks are essential for safety in gel candles as well as paraffin candles.
The longer neck length enables the flame to be extinguished before it reaches the bottom of
glass containers. This is a safety precaution that helps reduce the risk of flare up.
Self-ccentering wick tabs
Candlewic was the first company in the US to offer the self-centering tab. This tab is designed to
be self-centering in 15 hour votive cups and saves countless hours in production.
Wick coating waxes
Candlewic carries two basic wick coatings in addition to a specialty beeswax coating. These
coated wicks offer maximum rigidity during production process and end-use.

QUANTITY
Order a minimum quantity of 500, and order in increments of
500. No upper limit!
WICK LENGTH
Specify your wick length in inches. The wicks can be from 1” to
9” in increments of 1/8th of an inch.

the same time. This is the ideal unit for
making both container and pillar candles

100 Direct Heat Wax Heater
Designed and built for use by one of the
largest manufacturers of heating units in
the country. Holds 100 lbs. of wax and is
deep enough to dip tapers. It has two
heating units to keep wax at temperature
plus or minus approximately 3°. If unit is
filled, use both heaters. If only half filled,
use bottom heater only. As with all units
that melt wax, turn it off if no one is there
to supervise use. Overall diameter of tank
is 20-3/4” x 30-1/2”, with legs. Portable.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
In addition to the specific terms and conditions stated on Seller’s price sheets for individual materials, or on specific contracts, all orders are subject to the standard terms
and conditions of sales set forth below. Acceptance of orders - This order is accepted
subject to the following terms.
1. Sales and Similar Taxes - All prices are net prices and do not include any existing
sales, use, excise or similar taxes, any tax or levy of the Federal Gov’s, or any
other governmental subdivision which may hereafter be levied on the manufacture, sales, use or shipment of goods, may at Seller’s option, be added to purchase price.
2. Payment Terms - Full payment or payment information must accompany all
mailed in orders. If order is over $500, payment must be money order or certified check. Candlewic accepts Visa or MasterCard. We no longer ship COD.
3. Price Changes - all prices are subject to change without notice.
4. Deliveries - All merchandise shall be delivered F.O.B. Sellers factory, no freight
allowance. Each delivery shall be considered a separate sale, and any delivery
not made in accordance with the specific negotiated contract shall not affect
any fulfilled portions thereof, nor entitle the Buyer to reject subsequent deliveries.
All shipments under 1,000 lbs. are shipped U.P.S. unless specified. Over 1,000
lbs. are shipped common carrier. Customer can request their order to be
shipped Federal Express or Post Office.
5. Excusable Delays - Seller shall not be liable in damages or otherwise for delays
or defaults in deliveries due to cause beyond its control and without its fault or
negligence, including but not limited to those directly or indirectly caused by
fires, floods, accidents, riots, acts of God, war, governmental interference,
embargoes, strikes, power shortages, failure of suppliers to deliver or any other
cause or cause whether or not similar in nature.
6. Patents - The Buyer shall hold Seller harmless against any expense or loss resulting from infringements of patents or trademarks arising from compliance with
the buyer’s design or specifications or instructions.
7. Termination - The Buyer may terminate his order or any uncompleted portion
thereof upon notice in writing to Seller of such termination which notice shall be
effective upon which date seller receives it. In the event of such termination,
costs and expenses related thereto, and any applicable adjusted price resulting
there from shall be charged to the Buyer.
8. Assignments - Buyer agrees that he will not be permitted to assign his order or
any interest therein or rights hereunder without the written consent of the Seller.
9. Representation and Warranty - Seller warrants its materials delivered hereunder to
conform to specifications and descriptions as may be agreed in writing to be
applicable and to be free from defect in material or workmanship. The responsibility of the Seller is limited to replacing or reprocessing at its factories any materials which have been returned to seller, and which are defective, or covered by
this warranty; provided how ever, that Seller must be advised within ten days
after shipment of the material of any defect or failure to conform to the applicable specifications. Seller’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or
replacement of defective material or if repair or replacement is impossible or
cannot be accomplished in time to meet Buyer’s production schedule, the Seller
shall rerun the purchase price including transportation. Seller shall have the sole
right to determine the method of shipment for the return of these materials and
of determining whether such material shall be reprocessed or replaced. The
responsibility for Seller under this warranty shall terminate as indicated in the
applicable shipping documents. This warranty shall not apply to any materials
reprocessed outside of Seller’s factory, except where such reprocessing performed by accredited Seller’s personal or representatives. This warranty is
expressly in lieu of any and all other warranties or representations, expressed or
implied, and no agreement or understanding berating upon Seller unless in writing and signed by a duly authorized rep. of Seller. All statutory or implied warranties other than title are expressly exclaimed and excluded.
10. Returns - Candlewic charges a 15% restocking for any returns. The following merchandise is not returnable unless a mistake has been determined on our part:
fragrance oils, essential oils, liquid dyes, soap bases, all waxes, gels and wicks.
Any product that has been used or partially used is not returnable. All returns
must be approved and given an RA number. No merchandise will be accepted
without an RA number or in poor condition. Customer is responsible for shipping
on returns unless error on our part. You will be notified when we receive your
return for proper credit. Original shipping charges are not refundable.
11. Damages and Shortages - Any merchandise that is short, damaged or broken,
Buyer must notify Seller within 10 days of receiving the shipment. We will refund
the broken merchandise, replace or credit your account. Credits will be given
only after the merchandise is received back in Seller’s warehouse. Please call for
RA number.
12. Shipping Information - All orders ship standard UPS approximately within 2- 3
“BUSINESS” days of receiving order. Special routing, Federal Express, USPS or
carriers can be requested when Buyer places the order. All orders received after
1pm “WILL BEGIN PROCESSING ON” the next business day. Buyer should
place order in advance to assure expected delivery date. Shipping cost is estimated by total package weight per box. When ordering wax take advantage of
UPS hundred weight service, it is much more cost effective. Call Candlewic for
any additional information.
13. Order Minimum and requirements - Minimum order is $25. All mail orders
require name, contact person, shipping address, telephone number & email of
Buyer. Phone orders may be placed by calling 1-800-368-3352.
14. Back orders - Out of stock items will not be back ordered and deducted from
invoice. You must reorder when they are back in stock.
