Retail Store Hours through March:
Monday: 12 noon - 7 pm, Tuesday & Thursday: 11 am - 7 pm, Wednesday: 11 am - 7pm (to 9pm starting April 4th)
Friday & Saturday: 10 am - 9 pm, Sunday: 12 noon - 5 pm
The Vintage Attic Is Now Open!
We were thrilled to have many of you join us for the long-awaited opening of our
Vintage Attic! Decorated with some great antique furniture, we displayed an
amazing array of vintage beads, buttons, and beautiful jewelry dating as far back as
the Victorian Era! It was a delight to hear the reactions of those of you who came to
the opening event. Many of you were as excited as we were to see the dates of some
of the strands of beads: such as those “made in occupied Japan” or “West Germany,
US Zone”. To mark the event, we enjoyed the talents of a belly dancer, several groups
of musicians, and lots of goodies to eat! From now on, the Vintage Attic will be open
the following hours: Wednesday - Sunday, 12 noon - 6 pm, or by special appointment.
We have so many boxes of vintage jewelry in our inventory, that we will likely be
putting out new fabulous finds for the next three years! To be sure not to miss our new
additions to the Vintage Attic, make sure you ask to go upstairs to see the latest items
the next time you are in. If you, your friends or your family have old jewelry, beads,
or other craft items to sell, I am always interested in discussing purchasing what you
might have to sell!
The Glass Studio Is Hot!
Those of you who attended the two-day workshop given by internationally recognized
glass-bead artistan, Kristina Logan, were not disappointed (Judy included)! Kristina,
known internationally as “The Dot Lady,” is credited with popularizing dots as surface
embellishments on hand-made glass beads. She was a fabulous teacher and made
everything look easy, of course! For this 2007 year, Kristina is just the first of a
fabulous line-up of regionally and internationally known glass bead-making artists!
Coming soon will be Lisa St. Martin, Diane Worthington, Elizabeth Hopkins,
Gail Crosman Moore, and Bronwen Heilman. If you are a budding glass bead-maker,
you will not want to miss some or all of these classes and fabulous teachers! Please
see our website, (click on the “Flamework” button on the Home Page), for further
details about the classes and to see samples of each artist’s work. For those of you
who are dying to practice what you’ve learned, don’t forget that we offer open studio
for three people or more during normal business hours. Ask any of the staff members
for further details on how to schedule your studio time.
who are interested in learning how to weave. Don’t despair! The next beginning level
class with Karen will start on Saturday, April 7th, and continues for five consecutive
weeks. Once enough of you have gone through the basic class, (if you as
are excited about weaving as we are), we hope you’ll join us as Karen takes us into
more advanced technique classes. Watch future newsletters for further details.
Don’t Make This Your Last Newsletter!
For the last several newsletters, we’ve appealed to you in several ways to update
your address from snail mail (printed newsletters), to e-mail. The cost of printing and
mailing such a large number of newsletters is becoming prohibitive, especially in light
of how many of you now likely have computers. If you don’t have or can’t use a
computer, we are happy to continue printing for those of you who truly read
and want to continue receiving our printed newsletter by mail. TO ALL OF YOU,
PLEASE DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OR WE WILL HAVE TO DROP YOU FROM
OUR MAILING LIST AS OF THIS MAILING!
1) E-mail us from your computer at [email protected] or
[email protected] and tell us to switch to e-mail newsletters. Don’t
forget to give us your name and the printed mailing address you want removed!
2) Call us to update your e-mail address: (856) 858-7844/45
3) Call or send back this formto have us continue mailing you the printed newsletter
Please fill in, cut out and mail or deliver the form below when next you visit us.

Weaving the Threads...
Jes and I are very excited about our new-found skill... we have finally learned how to
weave on a loom! Taught by our fabulous loom weaving teacher, Karen Donde, Jes
and I took the five-week, three-hour per class basic weaving class with Karen, and
made our first woven scarves! Jes caught on in her usual lightning speed way, and I’m
still at least a class behind, but thoroughly enjoying it! Once class started, we received
a few calls from those of you who missed the beginning of this last session,
[ ] Please remove me from your mailing list
PLEASE act now! We value you as a customer and we don’t want to lose touch!
Thanks!
