A Films Producer Andrea Ajemian will present
excerpts from the new movie BoyBand and talk
about the many trials and tribulations involved with
producing an indie film here in Massachusetts. Ms.
Ajemian and Writer/Director Jon Artigo collaborated
on BoyBand, which was shot entirely in Worcester
County and is set at the fictional Worcester High.
The film was originally called We Got the Beat, when
it filmed for 5 weeks during the summer of 2008.
Andrea Ajemian, Producer for "BoyBand"
Starring a number of Hollywood actors including
Robert Hoffman (Step Up 2, She’s the Man), Ryan Hansen (Party Down, Veronica
Mars), and Ming Na (ER, The Joy Luck Club), over 30 local actors had speaking roles
in the film. Jon and Andrea’s fourth feature film in 9 years, (previous work includes
the award winning films Rutland, USA, Freedom Park, and Still Green), BoyBand is a
commercial teen comedy set in 1982 about a high school quarterback who quits the
team to turn his heavy metal band into the first ever
boyband. The film is being self-distributed in
select theaters in Massachusetts, and hopes to
create a national buzz. BoyBand differs from typical
art house indie films, as it’s a wacky teen comedy
with commercial appeal. The film isn’t yet rated, but
filmmakers anticipate a PG-13 rating for language
and sexual references.
As a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Andrea
has acted in commercials, television shows and
feature films. Her passion lies in bringing Hollywood
and local talent together to make quality projects
as well as increase the experience level and talent
base in the communities involved. With offices in
Los Angeles and Worcester, AA Films has expanded
to include multi-platinum Music Producer Kaz
Gamble, among others. 

One of the highlights of the evening was the dedication
of the Priscilla (Pucky) Roslansky Edit Suite. Pucky, an
FCTV Volunteer Producer since 1993, has produced
over 200 programs. She was the long-time producer of
The Turkington Report, is the ongoing producer of the
League of Women Voters Candidates Forum and has
produced an expansive range of programs which serve
to educate, inspire and entertain the residents of
Falmouth. A video featuring many of her friends and
colleagues was featured during the presentation.
The business meeting was then held with President
Mustafa reporting that the state of the corporation was
“excellent” and that membership had increased from
551 members at the end of 2008 to 626 members
at the end of 2009. He spoke of the diversity of
programming produced by the volunteer producers;
acquisitions to keep equipment state of the art and
efforts to keep the training curricula innovative in the
age of digital technology.
L-R: Zak Kirwin, Justin Peirce,
Valerie May Douglas,
Linda Davis
Guests were then treated to an “FCTV Year in Review”
video, which highlighted many of the community
partnerships and programs, which occurred in 2009.
The video also included interviews with award
recipients.
Elections were held with John Magnani and incumbent
Kevin Callahan elected for three year terms to the Board
