Looking to the future
Educating our youngest citizens is the most important responsibility we have
as a community and as a country. Early education does matter. At the Center
and in our Connection homes, we are dedicated to the emotional and educational development of infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children who need
full-day care away from home.
The Center provides a rich and complete curriculum of early reading, math,
and cognitive skills that directly influence a child’s ability to learn, complete
tasks, and pay attention. Through our commitment to staff education and our
thoughtful curriculum, we are aligned with best practices for 21st Century
learning. We’ve increased staff to provide a better teacher-to-child ratio of
one teacher for every six students. And, by building relationships with local
organizations, we have forged community partnerships that enhance our
enrichment programs and strengthen students’ learning and social skills.
With your support, each year we continue to make improvements to better
serve all children in our community.

What does it take?
It takes an educationally sound, emotionally secure, and physically safe
environment, where children are encouraged to explore the world around
them. It takes government funds to provide subsidies for those families who
want the best for their children but are struggling to put food on the table.
It takes contributions from donors like you who understand that children,
who are prepared for kindergarten, have a better chance for long-term
academic success.

A progressive agenda
At the heart of our mission, we are committed to providing quality early
childhood education for all, not just those who can afford it. According to
the Foundation for Child Development, evidence suggests that high-quality
preschool positively contributes to the language literacy and math growth of
both low and middle-income children, but has the greatest impact on those
living in or near poverty.
Which is why we are asking for your financial support.
The Center has embarked on a mission that will set us on a path of providing
a more balanced environment for our families. Through our strategic planning
efforts, we have already made great strides in moving our goals forward.

professional development, purchase learning resources for our children, and

The Child Care Center of Evanston is a community-based
organization whose mission is to strengthen families by providing
high quality, affordable care and education for their children.
Its highest priority is to help children from all socioeconomic
backgrounds gain the skills they need to succeed in school while
fostering the shared community values of cooperation and
respect for one another.
