Fourth Baptist Church Annual Report, 2015-16
Old Man. Wise Man.
When I turned 40 years old earlier this month my colleagues surprised me with a birthday
party which included cheesecake . . . and a wheelchair! Thanks a lot! However, one friend
encouraged me by saying, “40 years isn’t old, if you’re a tree!”
Moses’ life could be measured in 40 year increments. The first 40 years of Moses’ life were
spent in luxury in Egypt, the second 40 years were spent with sheep in Midian, and the final 40
years of Moses’ life were spent with the Children of Israel in the wilderness.
At some point along the way, Moses wrote Psalm 90 and charged us to number our days so
that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Ps 90:12).
It is assumed that the longer one lives the more wisdom one gains, for wisdom is normally
the benefit of a long life. However, in Psalm 90 the “heart of wisdom” to be gained is not that
which is accrued over one’s long life. Rather, a “heart of wisdom” is the recognition that God is
everlasting (1-3) and we are not (3-6). Because God’s anger and wrath is upon man’s sin, life is
short (7-12). Therefore, we must depend upon the Lord’s compassion as our only source of hope
in life (13-17).
Many years later, King Solomon would conclude that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of
knowledge and wisdom (Proverbs 1:7; 9:10). May we spend our days and live our lives in the
fear of the Lord - depending upon His compassion.
Whether we are young or old, may we gain a heart of wisdom. This is my prayer for you!

CHURCH ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES
Sunday evening, June 14, 2015
The church gathered at 6:00 p.m. for the annual meeting and Pastor Kilian led the congregation in
singing, The Church’s One Foundation, after which he led in prayer and called the meeting to order,
in the absence of senior pastor, Matt Morrell, who was recovering from surgery to repair his broken
collar bone. A quorum was established and a motion was called for to accept the minutes from the
annual meeting held on June 15, 2014.

1. Remarks, Pastor Matt Morrell
A video was shown that Pastor Matt had recorded earlier in the week, in anticipation of not
being able to attend due to his surgery. Pastor Matt updated the church on each ministry
entity: Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Fourth Baptist Christian School, and the church.
The CBTS update included information about Pastor’s transition to becoming the 6th
president of Central Seminary, Pastor Brent Belford’s shift to provost of the seminary, and
the anticipated enrollment for the fall. Pastor’s FBCS update cited a strong enrollment and
daily discipleship going on among our students.
The church report included the information that the purchaser of the Camp Clear-Waters
property made the final balloon payment of $750,000 just this past month. Monies have
been put into a secured money market account until the staff and admin deacons can
identify a wise use of those funds. After much prayerful consideration, a proposal will be
brought to the church body in the future. Pastor also informed the church that the new
MBA representative, Dr. Bob Fuller, Jr. has been given an empty office in the WCTS studio
and that Bob and Jacque Fuller intend to make Fourth Baptist Church their church home.
2. Year in Review
A Powerpoint slide presentation was shared, which included pictures from various ministries
over the past fiscal year.
3. Election
Pastor Kilian thanked deacons and deaconesses whose terms expired the end of June:

He then presented the ballot that deacons recommended to the church and called for tellers
to distribute ballots to voting members (16 years of age and older). Ballots were
distributed, marked, and collected by tellers Jeff King, Mark Monroe, Dewey Russell, and
Harold Schrenk.

Pastor Kilian then presented names of those whom deacons recommend be removed from
our membership:

5. Report on Audit
Les Leith reported on an independent audit done by members of the church who reviewed
the accounting processes and records of the church for the 2013-14 fiscal year. Those who
participated on that audit review committee were: Ben Davis, Todd Hallada, Helen Jansma,
Sam Macalus, and Jireh Pua. Les reported that the committee found everything in order.
6. Presentation/Adoption of Budget
Gary Blessman presented the church budget and made some explanation.
Mark Gehrke (chair of Missions Committee) presented the Missions Budget and made some
explanation. Pastor Kilian made further explanation and called for any questions.
Paul Kroehnert asked for an explanation of Urban Initiative, in our Missions budget.
Pastor Kilian explained that it is the fund which Family Baptist designates for various
Minneapolis outreach endeavors. Support for Dave Whiteford’s jail ministry goes to that
fund.
Walt VerSteeg asked for further explanation on the church budget, especially regarding
some discrepancies in numbers and explanatory notes between the first draft of the budget
and what was distributed at the annual meeting. Both Gary Blessman and Pastor Kilian
spoke to the questions. There were no further questions.

7. Presentation/Adoption of School Budget
In the absence of Alan Hodak, school administrator, Jared Page gave an update on the
school and presented the budget.

8. Endorsement of Messengers to MBA Meeting
Those members in good standing who attend the annual MBA meeting in Marshall MN,
Friday/Saturday, June 26-27, must be endorsed to serve as messengers from Fourth Baptist
Church. MOTION: Louis Stoll; second: Roy Beacham; motion carried.
9. Report from Tellers
Tellers were not ready with a report, so newly elected deacons and deaconesses will be
listed in the Wednesday and Sunday bulletins.
10. Adjournment

Central Seminary remains grateful for Fourth Baptist Church’s partnership in glorifying God
through the mentoring and training of young men and women for vocational ministry.

WCTS, Steve Davis
WCTS Radio has been enjoying the blessing of God as we continue to broadcast the gospel
to our community. Of course, we run on prayer and technology, in that order. We have tried to
keep our technology up to date in this past year by replacing and upgrading equipment, when
possible.
WCTS is pleased to continue to serve Fourth Baptist Church by broadcasting both Sunday
services each week, usually live, and by rebroadcasting Pastor Morrell’s preaching on the
program which was called Fourth Baptist Echoes, but which has been renamed and repackaged
as Truth Talk, Sunday afternoons at 3:30. WCTS also provides Truth Talk to WDGY, AM 740, for
broadcast at 8 o’clock on Sunday mornings.
WCTS continues to operate at 4kW nighttime. At this power level, WCTS has never sounded
better, day or night! If you haven’t listened lately, you might be pleasantly surprised.
WCTS has very few personnel, nevertheless, this is not the work of one person. There are
some other special people who are indispensable to this ministry. Among them are Todd
Benson, Adam Keim, Linda Russell, and Mark Peterson. And of course Pastor Morrell, as
President of Central Seminary, has provided much needed and much appreciated leadership and
support to WCTS throughout this past year.
Listeners continued to respond to our financial needs during Sharathon. The final amount
given and pledged by Friday, September 19, 2014, was $111,600. We did not reach our goal of
$150,000 during the fundraising week itself, but pledges and checks continued to come in,
which not only met the goal, but surpassed it. Special thanks to the many enthusiastic
volunteers from Fourth Baptist who helped with Sharathon, as well as those who have helped
with mailings throughout the year.
We praise God every day for the privilege of maintaining a positive Christian broadcast voice
in the Twin Cities area. If you are not a regular listener, I invite you to tune in! Program listings
are always available on our website, www.wctsradio.com, or in the church literature rack.

FINANCIAL OFFICE, Gary Blessman
The business office has undergone a season of change during this fiscal year. Melissa Main
took a different position locally and Joanna Harmon began working for the church in October of
2015. I wish to express my thanks to Melissa for her years of service as well as request prayer
for Joanna as she devotes herself to the mundane tasks of bookkeeping.
What a year for finances! We express gratitude for paying off the church interest-free loan
as well our continued stewardship of and care for the property. Any gifts received for the
building fund are being used for building maintenance. Last summer we remodeled three rooms
and this summer we have planned bathroom remodels. It is always a challenge with Minnesota
winters to keep our parking lot well maintained. Another project to be addressed is water
drainage at the main entrance to the church.

We are also mindful that the future will have some major expenses for which we are
planning. The flat roof membrane, parking lot upkeep, and eventual replacement of heat/ac
units on our roof will require significant funds. The administrative deacons have begun planning
and saving for those eventual needs.

STUDENT MINISTRIES, Jared Page
It has been an exciting six months for me since taking over as the Pastor of Student
Ministries on January 1. I am grateful for Ken Thompson and his years of faithful ministry among
us. It is exciting to build upon the foundation that he and previous pastors have laid. The
responsibilities of this position involve ministries from “cradle to college.” This is a large swath
of our ministry with many moving parts. I am grateful for everyone involved in these varied
ministries and the faithfulness they demonstrate. For my first few months in this position, I have
tried mostly to maintain the status quo and learn about the various ministries. I am encouraged
by what I see, and excited for the prospects of further growth. It is my goal to continue to build
on all that is happening and to cast a vision for how these ministries can be used in even greater
ways.
Nursery
I am grateful for Stephanie Isenberg, the Nursery committee, and the workers who run a
clean, safe, and orderly Nursery. One change that was made this spring was to bring the Nursery

Sunday School and Children’s Church classes under the direction of the nursery coordinator. This
was a positive step in unifying all of the nursery responsibilities under one head.
Sunday School and Children’s Church
We have many faithful workers in these ministries week to week. We have created
somewhat of a new position this year to oversee these ministries. Brian and Rose Davis have
overseen our Children’s Church ministry for many years. I asked them to take on more
responsibilities in these areas and they are now serving as Directors of Children’s Ministries,
overseeing all Sunday morning children’s work. Together we are reviewing all of these ministries
and are working to recruit more workers in several areas. Many thanks to Tom Zustiak for his
years of faithful service in this area.
Awana
Awana has completed another school year of ministry. It was a year of transition as our
Awana Commanders James and Wendy Steele moved away. We were blessed in that Bruce and
Lori Gustafson were able to seamlessly slide right into this role. Thanks to them for taking over
this leadership role, and to all who participate in this important ministry.
Youth Group
The area that I direct the majority of my time and energy into is the teen youth group. I am
grateful for a dedicated youth staff that have helped my transition go very smoothly. We have
met regularly on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings for fellowship, teaching, and small
group discipleship. We had other periodic activities such as a Chopped cooking event, Winter
Weekend, and a night at Sky Zone. We said goodbye to our graduating seniors this May and
welcomed a large group of upcoming 7th graders at a cookout in early June. Forty-nine campers
and 5 sponsors attended Northland Camp, June 20-25.
My burden for the youth group is that they would be grounded and equipped in the
Scriptures in order to face the varied challenges of our world. I’m incredibly optimistic about the
potential of this group to serve within our ministry, and to be world-changers for the cause of
Christ.
Crossroads (College and Career) Ministry
The Crossroads Adult Bible Fellowship is a very active group. They meet weekly during the
Sunday School hour, and for many other activities. Thanks to the Martins and Keims who lead
this ministry. This ministry is vital for giving our local college and career age group a place to be
grounded in the Scripture and a center for Christian fellowship.

I’m excited to begin another year of ministry and look forward to seeing what the Lord has for
us. If Tammy and I can ever be of service to you or your family, please do not hesitate to ask!
FOURTH BAPTIST CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, Alan Hodak
Thank you to our church family for your continued support during our 50th year! This has
been a whirlwind year with some new activities and a very busy spring. The secondary students
pulled off a great drama performance, “David the King,” and Warrior girls’ sports made history
as our school played their first ever varsity and junior high girls’ soccer games this year. It was a

three-peat for our varsity volleyball team and soccer won the title as well. Both basketball
teams had great seasons: the girls taking third and the boys losing the championship game.
We also commissioned songs to celebrate our 50th anniversary: “Guide Me, O Thou Great
Jehovah” by Josh Bauder and “By Faith” by Lloyd Larson, both local composers/arrangers.
We continue to host three major MACS events: the state basketball tournament (18 teams
participated), the choir festival (12 schools participated) and the leadership conference (9
schools participated). Of all of the year’s events, my favorite was graduation. We sent off ten
graduates this year.
Early enrollment projections are very good and we are optimistic for our enrollment
numbers for next year. Kindergarten numbers are high already and K4 is beginning to fill up.
This is unusual for this early in the summer; we generally don’t add a large number of
kindergarten students until late August. We will not be losing any teachers this year and are fully
staffed for the fall.
We are grateful to the Lord for His continued provision and for a great and committed
teaching staff who are working hard to instill a biblical worldview into the minds and hearts of
our students. Keep praying for our families and teachers as we seek to offer a truly Christian
education for our families. Thanks again for your support.
DEACONS, Kimball Cummings
The administrative and ministry deacons met monthly with the pastoral staff to review
budgets and committee reports, assist Pastor Matt with his ideas, goals, and decisions, and pray
for the needs of our membership and visitors. Deacons also assisted at baptisms, served the
Lord’s Table, distributed financial assistance from the Deacon Fund, visited and contacted
members, and assisted with set-up and take-down procedures at church events, such as new
member receptions and fellowships.
This year deacons also interviewed Jeremy Stephens who became Pastor of Outreach and
Discipleship, and Jared Page, who became our new Pastor of Student Ministries in January.
Deacons recommended to the church body updates to our membership, provided grocery gift
cards to needy members at the Christmas and Thanksgiving seasons, and drafted procedures to
make communion preparation and clean-up more efficient.
Deacons elected by the church included Bob Corey, Kimball Cummings, Steve Davis,
Tim Emslie, Newton Guillen, Al Hawkins, Feroze Khan, Les Leith, Chris Levang, Sam Macalus,
Eric Markgraf, Rory Martin, Chatru Mohinani, John Reynolds, Jason Smith, Harold Schrenk,
Don Steinhart, and Roy Witherite.
Administrative deacons appointed by Pastor Morrell were Les Leith (Chair), Don Steinhart
(Asst. Chair), Tim Emslie (Secretary), Sam Macalus, and Jay Russell.
Deacon officers elected by deacons were Kimball Cummings (Chair), Sam Macalus (Asst.
Chair), and Rory Martin (Secretary).
We are so grateful for the good work of the chairman of each deacon committee:

I thank the Lord for all the leadership at Fourth Baptist and for their efforts at planning,
praying, and working as servant-leaders for God’s glory. It has been a privilege to serve with

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE, Robert Corey
During this past fiscal year we had the privilege of hosting two membership classes, one in
the fall and another in the spring. One of the blessings of organizing membership classes is
seeing our deacons interacting with the new members and listening to their testimonies.
I am always blessed by the ministry of our deacons to church members.
Our new member services include baptisms, testimonies, and a welcoming reception in the
gymnasium. On November 1, 2015, 16 people joined the church, 4 of whom were baptized. In
the spring we had a large class of over 30 potential new members. Two new member services
were held, one on June 5 when 17 people joined the church, 9 of whom were baptized, and the
other on June 12 when 13 additional people joined, for a total of 30 new members added in the
spring.
It is always a blessing to hear the testimonies of those desiring to join our church. After each
new group of members becomes part of our church family, they are assigned to a deacon, who
cares for them and pays attention to their needs and prayer requests. It is wonderful to help
every new member become assimilated into the church family and see them find a place to
serve.
CARING COMMITTEE, Newton Guillen
• We helped members in a variety of ways including moving, cleaning, and home and
hospital visits.
• The Deacon Care committee assisted 15 families financially, some families more than once.
• Grocery gift cards were distributed to over 18 families during the Thanksgiving and
Christmas holidays.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
NURSERY, Stephanie Isenberg
We have celebrated the birth of 7 babies born to church families this fiscal year, and we are
looking forward to the arrival of several more in the coming months! Up to 32 little ones, plus
visiting children, are cared for in our nurseries on Sunday mornings.
We are so thankful for our nursery staff who compassionately and safely care for our little
ones during their first church experiences. Over the last several months we have added several
capable nursery staff members and we would welcome a few more willing to serve on a monthly
basis.
A huge thank you to our Nursery Committee members who have graciously served our
families: Sathiya Andrew, Jessica Campbell, Kimberly Emslie, Natalie Gehrke, Stephanie Isenberg
(chair), Lindsay Levang, Christa Martin, Sheila McLeish, and Leah Rolling.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR, James Anderson
The 2015-16 school year was another year of growth both musically and spiritually for the
three children’s choirs. Almost 70 singers, age 4 through sixth grade, participated over the
course of the year. Each choir sang for church services several times, and the Sunshine and
Junior choirs had opportunity to sing with the adult choir as well. In addition to the musical
training, the choirs had a Bible lesson each week, and also had several guest missionary
speakers, a series of informational lessons on hymnals, and a visit from each of the pastors of
the church. The year culminated with the annual program in May, Living the Life: Aspects of the
Christian Walk. We greatly appreciate the commitment of the singers and their parents.
James Anderson directed both the Sunshine (grades 1-3) and Junior (grades 4-6) choirs, and
because of a faithful group of helpers, James was able to spend time with both choirs each
week. In her first year in the position, Megan Haynes led an excellent staff in directing the
Cherub Choir (pre-primary). We look forward to next year and the opportunity to continue to
build on the good things that the Lord has brought about.
SUNDAY SCHOOL, Dan Erklouts
Our Sunday School provides the following for our children:

ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIPS, Les Leith
As we reflect upon this past year, we are thankful for the many individuals who are involved
with ABF leadership teams. Those faithful leaders carried out their duties with great diligence.

Many members have invested in the ABF classes through prayer, outreach, administrative
duties, member care, social activities, and fellowship.
One of our main objectives is to systematically teach the Word of God to the adults. This
past year we were able to cover the Synoptic Gospels, the books of Judges, Ruth, and First
Corinthians, and we are currently working our way through the book of Nehemiah this summer.
Our ABF classes have been a great encouragement by providing fellowship within our local
body of believers. The small group setting allows members to get to know each other personally
and share burdens, concerns, and prayer requests with one another. Then the group rejoices
with one another as we see how our great and glorious Savior answers those petitions.
It has been a great year in our ABF ministry and we praise the Lord for the spiritual growth
He has given to us this past year.
TWIN CITIES BIBLE INSTITUTE, Craig Holgrimson, Director
Twin Cities Bible Institute is a ministry of Fourth Baptist Church which provides believers the
opportunity to grow in their understanding of God’s Word. The course material consists of
studies of specific books of the Bible, Doctrine, and also relevant topics current to our times
using God’s Word as our guide. Fall semester classes meet during the months of September,
October, and November and spring semester classes meet in February, March, and April.
Six courses were provided and were attended by 78 students, 12 of whom were new to
TCBI. The largest percentage of our students come from Fourth Baptist Church, but we also had
new students from area churches and colleges. TCBI also offers classes at TCBI North in Otsego,
and provides materials online to various missionaries worldwide.
We are thankful for our teachers, Mr. Jim Hunter, Dr. Matt Morrell, Pastor Doug Roman, and
Adam Keim for their leadership in the TCBI classes.
This September TCBI will again offer classes both at Fourth Baptist Church and all TCBI class
information will be provided on the Fourth Baptist website (www.fourthbaptist.org) which
includes subjects, dates, and times, so students can register online.
Please consider joining us for a class at TCBI in order to draw closer to God through His
Word, and also have the opportunity for fellowship with like-minded believers.

Fellowship, Easter Breakfast, and New Member Receptions. Thanks to those who coordinate

We have set aside one Wednesday of each month as Missions Night. We heard
presentations from those who are either working in, or preparing to go to different fields.

WOMEN’S MINISTRIES
LADIES’ FALL GATHERING
A ladies’ fall gathering was held in the Atrium on Friday evening, September 18, 7-9 p.m.
with a turnout of over 100 ladies. The Back-to-School theme was emphasized by the
decorations, and the packaged snack items. Ladies were encouraged throughout the evening to
meet someone new and fall ministries were introduced. Allyson Hodak was the speaker.

Purpose: To equip mothers spiritually and practically through Bible study and practical
help, and to provide uplifting times of fellowship for moms of all ages that they may
encourage, support, and stimulate one another.
Fourteen bi-monthly meetings are held on Tuesday mornings during the school year.
Meetings include prayer, Bible study, discussion, interviews, book reviews, lending
library/book table, practical help, and refreshments. Some of the moms and their
children eat lunch together afterward, either in the Fellowship Hall or at the nearby
McDonalds, extending their time of fellowship.

MOMS and their children meet for fellowship in various homes during the summer
months on the third Tuesday morning of each month.

The annual Minnesota Baptist Association ladies’ retreat was held April 15-16, 2016
at the Hampton Inn, Shoreview.
40 ladies from Fourth Baptist Church attended.
Judy Champion spoke on the theme, He Delights in You.
Workshops topics included gratitude, order from chaos, social media, mentoring,
prayer, joy, lifelong lessons, and God in the seasons of life.
Forever Be Sure ladies vocal ensemble provided music.
Good fellowship was enjoyed with ladies from other MBA churches.
ADELPHI MEN’S MINISTRY
Each year we plan three Saturday morning breakfasts for our men, teen boys, and their
guests. Our first breakfast was June 13, 2015. Dave Whiteford, Hennepin County Chaplain, spoke
on Men in Ministry. It was a blessing to hear how God was working in his jail ministry. On
September 26, David Wheaton of the Christian World View radio program spoke on Men Getting
into the Game. It was a unique experience to be part of a nation-wide live radio broadcast, right
in our own church Fellowship Hall. On Saturday, January 30, 2016, Tim Keesee of Frontline
Missions and producer of Dispatches From the Front, spoke on Missions Men Can Embrace.
He also gave us a glimpse into what God is doing in difficult places around the world.
Our men’s Bible study during the winter months was on the life of Christ. In an effort to
reach as many men as possible, we offered three different study times and locations: Thursday
morning at church, Thursday noon in the US Bank Plaza downtown, and Saturday mornings at
church. Bob Cory led the Thursday studies and Roy Witherite led the Saturday study, with Jose
Ayala filling in occasionally. We averaged around 25 men attending all three groups.
During the summer months, about 10-15 men met at the church on Saturday mornings to
study the Gospel of John.
In addition, the men's ministry hosted ice fishing, a Boundary Waters fishing trip, softball,
golf outings, the Men For Christ Rally, and basketball. We encourage men to attend the
breakfasts, participate in the Bible studies, and in the various other activities. The Adelphi Men’s
Ministry is all about helping men become more Christ-like and prosper wherever they minister
in the church.

HOME BIBLE FELLOWSHIPS
During the summer of 2015 we began our fourth round of Home Bible Fellowships when
church members meet in neighborhood homes during the summer months for midweek Bible
study and prayer time. Sixteen families welcomed groups into their homes and our midweek
attendance doubled in this venue. Studies were in the Beatitudes (Matthew 5-7) and followed
the Sunday morning message text. The wide participation and relationships formed in these
more intimate settings have been valuable and healthy for our church family. Pastor Brent
Belford organized the Home Bible Fellowships.
This summer (June-August 2016) we are working through the One Another passages in the
New Testament in small groups at 14 different neighborhood locations. Pastoral intern, Ben
Coulson, assists Pastor Jeremy Stephens in organizing Home Bible Fellowships this summer.
INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH, Chatru & Wendy Mohinani
God has continued to allow us to make friends with internationals living in the Twin Cities.
Our prayer is that as we love them and help them in this new country, God will eventually allow
us an open door to share the gospel with them.
Many of our members are participating in these game nights and pot luck dinners, and have
made friends with these international families. We continue to meet on the last Friday of each
month and average about 90 in attendance.
We also use the special events in our church to invite and include them, like the Christmas
Musicale, Freedom Celebration, Music in Plymouth, Easter Breakfast, as well as inviting them to
our regular services.
Members from Family Baptist and Parkers Lake Baptist Church also join us for these special
times, and it is always a blessing to see Christians getting involved the lives of others. It is our
desire to share the love of Christ and expose these international families to our wonderful and
merciful God, Who alone can change hearts.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL), Ben and Anita Rathbun

ESL generally meets during the school year during the Awana/Children’s Choir time. The ESL
ministry thrives on the personal touch and ESL teachers can never do it alone. The most
effective way to reach and retain ESL students is for church members to build relationships with
people in our community and then connect them to our church’s ESL ministry!

SPANISH TRANSLATION MINISTRY, Sam and Hannah Macalus
We began a Spanish translation ministry this year to meet the needs of some for whom English is not
their primary language, and who struggle to follow and understand the preaching. Two to four people
benefit from this ministry each week. Four of our members take turns translating the message to listeners
who wear earpieces so that they can hear our Pastor in their heart language. Translators are Jireh Pua,
Newton Guillen, Jose Ayala, and Kimball Cummings, along with Moises Sente who occasionally substitutes.

The livestream ministry welcomed Adam Celt to the regular rotation this year. He recently
took over as the primary operator for Sunday evening services and also serves as back-up as
needed.
Our average livestream viewers increased this year. We now have 30-35 who join us via
livestream on Sunday mornings and 25-30 on Sunday evenings. We were approached by The
Waters Senior Living of Plymouth about linking to our livestream. We were able to provide easy
links on their television system as well as making contacts with the other senior living centers
operated by the management company to make our livestreamed services available in all of The
Waters facilities both in Minnesota and across the country.
We have continued posting our services and concerts to Vimeo and have seen an increase in
viewers of recordings online. About 7,900 people viewed a service on Vimeo in the last 12
months, an increase of almost 50% over last year. Church and school recordings have been
played from 46 countries around the world during that period. Our top viewing countries
outside of the United States this year were Canada, India, Brazil, China, Romania, Germany,
Australia, Qatar, Philippines, Uruguay, United Kingdom, Antigua, Russia, Singapore and Hungary.
This year we were able to build our main console into a movable chassis to make
broadcasting larger events from additional areas of the building more feasible. We also
improved the camera controls in the auditorium and now have access to a smaller system that
the church may borrow when needed to record or stream smaller events, such as special
seminary classes or church and school events in other parts of the building. This second system
is licensed to operate independently of the main livestream system.
Late in 2015, Bible Baptist of Otsego requested assistance in starting their own livestream
ministry. We were able to give them advice based on what we have learned through two years
of streaming to help them start their own ministry. We have also received inquiries from several
other ministries that hope to begin a streaming ministry.
Funds have been donated and designated this past year that should allow the addition of
motorized mounts for our main cameras as well as funds to upgrade the auditorium livestream

audio mixer to give us additional control over the microphones when the audio boards in WCTS
and the main auditorium are upgraded.
