“The Final Act”
It all started after GMB1- the
threatening phone calls about “giving
blood”, the ominous emails concerning
PHD dissertations, the freshly
polished Bents beside my pillow each
morning... I quickly found myself at
wit’s end, persecuted by unknowable
shadowy forces. But late one night
last week, our Vice President suddenly
called me up and told me to meet him
in the parking structure. There he
told me that we were having Mexican
food for dinner tonight, and from his
grim expression, I could tell he
wasn’t fooling around. I mulled over
this cryptic clue for many a restless
night, but I was only able to finally
put two and two together when an
anonymous email arrived claiming that
for tonight’s social event we would be
breaking tradition and going to Sky
Zone in Canton. Considering that
tonight’s meeting contains the everpopular Initiate Round Robin, all
these facts could only mean one thingthe culprit must be here, tonight, in
this very room! You know who you are.
And soon, so shall everyone else.
Finally, this will be put to an end.

Hello Tau Bates. I feel like the Local
Bent often doesn’t have a shred of class,
so I’m here to enlighten you uncultured
heathens about my number one favorite
artist of all time, Anne Geddes. For those
too ignorant to have heard about her, Anne
Geddes is an Australian-born photographer
who takes absolutely incredible pictures of
the
most
cutting-edge
subject
matter
conceivable: of course, I’m talking about
babies. But Anne doesn’t just photograph
babies. She’s not some cheap sell-out like your local family
photographer. No, Anne combines her moving photos of her
adorable infant models with the beauty of nature in a way only
she can by dressing the babies up in the world’s most
spectacular costumes inspired by exquisite flora and fauna. Not
only does this genius process give the most high-quality results
one can find in the photography world, but it truly captures the
emotion and innocence inherent in these living angels. And best
of all, Anne’s fabulous taste encompasses all sorts of natural
splendor: Do you like pumpkins? How about butterflies? Or
sunflowers? Well, Anne has you covered. And let’s not forget
about the squirrels, bears, bunnies and other fuzzy animal
friends Anne has had the vision to bring to life in the cutest
way imaginable. Anne’s genius photography can be found online or
in tasteful, classy art books in bookstores worldwide. Also
available are calendars of her stellar art so you can be
reminded daily of the miracle of life and the wonders of nature
you may take for granted. But when you buy Anne Geddes
merchandise, beware of impostors. The unprecedented successes of
Anne’s exemplary works have heartened unscrupulous fakers, who
maliciously ape Anne’s distinctive style. Look out for poor,
unwitting babies dressed as such things as jazz musicians, balls
of yarn, or spaghetti. The real Anne would never soil her hands
with that kind of swill. So make sure it’s the official
merchandise before you inadvertently make a huge mistake and can
never go back. After a while of enjoying Anne Geddes’ truly
stunning masterpieces, even someone like you can develop a topnotch air of class. To help you begin refining your crude
