Founded in 1987, Precision Turbo and Engine (PTE) is a leader
in high performance turbocharger technology for street and
race applications. Precision’s manufacturing facility, located in
Northwest Indiana, has set the standard for uncompromised quality
and unsurpassed performance since the late 1990s. PTE offers a
complete line of replacement, upgrade and custom turbochargers
featuring the exclusive CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics)
compressor and turbine wheels, and each sale comes with expert
advice and support.
Additionally, PTE manufactures its own line of intercoolers, boost
control products, fuel injectors, and is a distributor for stand-alone
engine management systems and fuel system components. Over the

Under the guidance of PTE President
Harry Hruska, Walsh has successfully
campaigned all of the Precision Turbo
& Engine NHRA Pro Mod cars and
captured multiple wins across the
country.
Beginning in 2012, Precision tapped
Don Walsh Jr. to handle driving
duties of the PTE NHRA Pro Mod
racecar. Walsh, who had a long and
successful racing career where he
had proven himself to be a talented
wheelman, originally began racing
Precision’s 2011 Ford Mustang
before he switched to PTE’s
1968 Chevrolet Camaro. In 2014,
Precision worked with Larry Jeffers
Race Cars to develop Precision’s
new fiercely competitive flagship
development car, a 2014 Camaro.

Precision’s Racing History
Precision Turbo’s racing heritage can be dated back to 1989, when PTE
owner and president Harry Hruska worked with John Lingenfelter on his
Bonneville Land Speed record-setting Trans Am.
Precision also proudly supplies the boost for the JEG’S Racing
Team’s world’s fastest doorslammer car (274.83 mph in the 1/4
mile), the world’s fastest piston-engine, wheel driven car the “Speed
Demon” (451.933 mph), five-time Hot Rod Drag Week Unlimited Class
winner Larry Larson, Mike Murillo’s incredible fourteen national
championships, and many others!
Precision-boosted vehicles have set numerous records and won
hundreds of championships in a wide array of racing sanctioning
bodies. In addition to drag racing, PTE customers have also found
great success in the world of road racing, time attack, drifting,
autocross, tractor pulling, truck pulling, motorcycle
racing, on the Bonneville Salt Flats, on the water
with modified jet skis and race boats,
and much more.

Boosted by a set of twin Precision turbochargers, JEGS’ Troy Coughlin
holds the title of having the world’s fastest doorslammer. Coughlin reset
the speed record at the 2015 PSCA Street Car Super Nationals XI event
at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in November, 2015 when he
ran a 5.597 at 274.83 mph quarter-mile blast in Outlaw Pro Mod trim. 7

40mm Wastegate
The Precision PW40 40mm, V-Band
Inlet/Outlet wastegate is made
from high grade, high temperature
stainless steel and billet aluminum
components. It features our own
purpose-designed wastegate
diaphragm and a 347 stainless
investment cast valve body which
has a smooth internal surface to
give the unit exceptional flow while
allowing for accurate boost control.
It also features a Nickel Chromium
Alloy valve and comes with 5
different 17-7 precipitation hardened
springs for further adjustment of
boost levels. This

drop-in

to some units

HPL Synthetic Oil with Boosted
Technology is chemically engineered to

The new stainless steel V-band inlet/outlet turbine
housings can withstand higher temperatures without
warping, and offer improved heat retention which can
enhance performance as the exhaust gasses will be

CEA® stands for “Competition Engineered Aerodynamics” but you’ll just call it “fast”
Precision’s exclusive CNC-machined, 2618-forged aluminum CEA® compressor wheels which
are specifically designed for maximum performance. Cutting-edge technology is used to
provide greater efficiency and faster transient response which results in less turbo lag than
traditional cast wheels of the same size. CEA® wheels can handle high boost pressures, and
are known for making significantly more power without sacrificing weight or cost.
Additionally, Precision’s CEA® high-flow turbine wheels produce massive power gains over
older turbine wheel designs; usage of Precision’s new CEA® wheels typically results in an
average increase of 30-45 horsepower over comparably-sized standard designs. Furthermore,
spool-up time is improved when using PTE’s CEA® turbine wheels to further reduce turbo lag.
The cutting-edge technology found in Precision’s CEA® compressor wheels and CEA® turbine
wheels is unlike anything else on the market today. PTE is committed to keeping racers well

MFS stands for “Machined from Solid” but you
can call it “a perfect start”
With available horsepower levels ranging from 300
to nearly 1,300, PTE’s entry level turbochargers are
great options for racers who want high-quality turbos
at budget-friendly prices. These particular units are
equipped with Precision’s exclusive Machined From
Solid (MFS) compressor wheels for an added boost
of performance over similarly-sized traditional cast
wheels. PTE’s MFS turbos help you get the high-end
performance you crave in a smaller package at an
affordable price.

In addition to the standard features, Big Stuff 3 offers many optional performance
upgrades so that you can customize the system to suit your exact needs, including:
• The CO2 Boost Controller integrated into Big Stuff 3 Engine Management
System offers control based upon engine speed (RPM), vehicle speed
(MPH), or time. The integrated boost controller also offers calibratable
settings for both the footbrake and the transbrake. The system is designed
to be able to simulate a complete run in the pits so one can verify
functionality before heading to the burn-out box. This complete kit comes
with two solenoid valves, an 100PSI transducer, and essential
plug-and-play wiring.
• The Big Stuff 3 4-Stage Dry Nitrous Pro Modified system features four
stages that are triggered either by internal timers or external Digiset timers.
The supplemental nitrous fuel is calibrated in pounds per hour (based upon
an 160lb/hr injector at 75PSI) which allows for easy tuning of each stage.
The RPM axis points can also be calibrated so the fuel and spark curves
can be easily tailored to any specific engine. This upgrade is a “must have”
for any serious racer using nitrous as their power-adder of choice!

The AFIS 8.5mm ignition wires are engineered for high performance street and race
applications. With only 50 ohms per foot of resistance AFIS ignition wires deliver more energy
to the spark plug. While the spiral core design allows for maximum RF/EMI suppression
virtually eliminating noise issues with other electronics in the vehicle. The superior outer
jacket is designed to resist the harsh under hood conditions. AFIS wires are just as at home
on a top fuel dragster or NASCAR as they are on a street rod or daily driver.

AFIS proudly offers capacitive discharge (CD) ignition controls. Designed for use on single
coil (distributor) engine with 1-4-6-8cylinders. The AFIS ignition control is equipped with
plenty of features for the street or the strip. This all in one design eliminates the hassle or
mounting multiple boxes and routing additional wiring. AFIS is changing the standard in
programmable ignitions.
