M
ost Blessed Sacrament Parish is a welcoming community which comes together to implement Christ’s mission.
We join to teach, to evangelize, to accept and to encourage ourselves and others in ongoing spiritual growth.
Serving and supporting those within and beyond our parish remains a major focus as we recognize that each of us is
called to be a witness to God’s love in our world.

IMORTANT PEOPLE
Every pastor will acknowledge the fact that no parish could possibly survive for very long without the many good people who devote their time and talent to the community. We have many and are grateful.

through faith in the power of God,
who raised him from the dead.— Colossians 2:12
At our Masses during the weekend of July
30-31, we welcome a missionary priest
from the Yarumal Missioners who will
speak to us about how we can help their
ministries. The presentation is part of our
annual participation in the Archdiocesan
Missionary Cooperation Plan. There will be
a second collection for the ministries of the
Yarumal Fathers that weekend.
Thank you for your generosity.

Our MBS website has experienced a
summer update!
If you haven’t visited our website recently, you might
notice something new when you drop by
www.mostblessedsacrament.ws! Our website is
newly redesigned, and hopefully, more user friendly.
All of the same great features, along with some new
content is available for you on our parish website. An
archive of past bulletins, Bishop Flesey’s homilies,
and registration forms for the Religious Education
Program are now easily accessible. Please call the
Parish Center with any questions.
The Campaign for the Church of Most
Blessed Sacrament
The Campaign has raised over $2.5 million to
date. Many parishioners are away during the
summer months, so campaign efforts will be less
active in July and August.
We will provide updates about the campaign on
the MBS website instead of the bulletin. In the
fall, we will once again post updates on the Campaign in the bulletin.
Thank you to all of the donors who have already
participated. If you have any questions about the
campaign please do not hesitate to call the Parish Office at (201) 891-4200.
Please visit MBS’s website at

A Prayer for Leadership
Give us, O God,
Leaders whose hearts are large enough
to match the breadth of our own souls
and give us souls strong enough
to follow leaders of vision and wisdom.
In seeking a leader, let us seek
more than development of ourselves—
though development we hope for,
more than security for our land—
though security we need,
more than satisfaction for our wants—
though many things we desire.
Give us the hearts to choose the leader.

The glad earth yields
her golden wealth of ripening grain,
And breadth of clover fields,
And deepening shade of summer woods,
And glow of summer air,
And winging thoughts,
And happy moods
of love and joy and prayer.
Confirmation Program
Registration forms for the 2016-17 Confirmation Program were emailed home to all eligible incoming 9th
Grade families from our Religious Education Program
and AMBS Graduates.
If you have not yet registered your child, please do so
as soon as possible. All registrations after August 1st
will incur a $50 late fee. We do not accept registration
over the phone—please return all completed forms and
payment to the attention of Jennifer Fox, Confirmation
Director. Any questions? - [email protected]
We had an overwhelmingly positive response to our New
Summer R.E. Program. Students and teachers made the
two week experience a spiritual and enjoyable
one. Students in Grades 1-6 prayed each day, completed
lessons about their faith, enjoyed movies and religious
based games, snack time and class time sharing their faith.
All the students attended First Friday Mass on July 1 with
their class. The Summer R.E. Students will continue in the
Fall with an Advent Retreat and Special Masses.
Thank you to all of our teachers, aides and student
volunteers. Our program could not run without you and
your dedication. God bless all of our families and have a
peaceful and restful summer.
CCD Registration
The Registration Packet for Grades
1-8 was emailed home in April!
Please read ALL of the registration
materials as many of our programs
have changed. The Summer Program is now
completed. We will not be
accepting
registration or reserving spaces by phone. Only
completed registration forms, along with
payment, will guarantee your space on a first
come, first serve basis. The May 13th deadline
has now passed, please include a late fee of
$40.00.
Junior High Notes
I hope everyone is enjoying their
summer vacation! I still need a few
more volunteers. I need a 7th and an
8th grade aide; in addition to a few people to be
substitutes on Tuesday evenings. Our classes
begin on Tuesday, September 13th and time is going quickly! We meet every week from September through December 13th, 7-8:30 pm.
PLEASE consider sharing your faith with
our junior high students. Thank you in advance,
for your considering helping out in the Junior
High RE program. If you have any questions,
please contact me at 201-891-4200, ext. 29 or
email me at [email protected]
